BYD is bringing its groundbreaking 1000 kW megawatt fast-charging technology to more affordable electric vehicles priced around $22,000, dramatically cutting charging times. 01:49but I think a lot of people will like this.
01:51Obviously, you can see it's built on BÖD's new platform,
01:54and that platform is lighter than previous generations.
01:58It's also got the, obviously, the flash charging
02:01and front double wishbone McPherson suspension
02:04and rear five-link suspension.

02:09Well, we just mentioned that.
02:10But it's got a front trunk that is 151 liters.
02:14So that's a big front trunk.
02:15BÖD's not really been into trunks that much,
02:18but it's starting to sort of change that now.
02:21And it uses their second generation structural battery pack.
02:25I think they might be using gigacasting as well,
02:27from what I'm kind of gathering from different sources,
02:30but I can't confirm that.

03:49and rear privacy glass,

03:56multi-color interior ambient lighting,
03:59and a 28-liter rear storage compartment.

04:17would put this crazy 1,000-kilowatt flash charging
04:20into their cheaper EVs,
04:21and they've just done it, $22,000.
04:23So how many more BYD vehicles
04:26by the end of this year
04:26will have flash charging?

04:29But I keep on saying to people,
04:31you could buy a BYD EV today
04:32with your 50, 100, 200-kilowatt charging,
04:36which is different models,
04:37depending on the model,
04:38they have relatively slow charging
04:40in comparison to,
04:42well, there are other models
04:44that are just coming out
04:44and to some rivals.
04:47Or you could wait a little bit
04:49and get 1,000-kilowatt charging.

04:52if you're owning the car
