00:00Well, we can see now that the conflict in Iran is having an effect on economies around the world,
00:07including here in the United Kingdom.
00:09Now, we as a government cannot stop storms that may arise anywhere in the world.
00:15What we can do is make sure we're in the best place to weather those storms when they come.
00:19The fact we have a much more stable economy today means that we can minimise the impact of what's going
00:27on in Iran.
00:27And indeed, in a couple of weeks' time, people will see their energy bills go down by an average of
00:33£150,
00:35and that reduction is locked in for the next three months.
00:38Now, of course, we'll keep an eye on what's going on day by day,
00:42but that cut in energy costs for households is happening because of the choices this government made to create a
00:48more stable economy.
