00:00Six major U.S. allies are sending a clear message to Iran.
00:03Stop attacking Gulf energy infrastructure and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
00:08In a joint statement, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Japan and the U.K.
00:13say that they're ready to help keep shipping safe and get the Strait,
00:16a vital passageway for nearly 20 percent of the world's oil, back up and running.
00:21The statement, which was issued by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer's office,
00:25read in part, quote,
00:26We call on Iran to cease immediately its threats, laying of mines, drone and missile attacks,
00:32and other attempts to block the Strait of Hormuz to commercial shipping.
00:35Japan made its role in the alliance clear on Thursday during a sit-down
00:39between Prime Minister Senai Takeuchi and President Trump at the White House.
00:43Takeuchi condemned Iran's attacks and pledged support for regional stability.
00:47Trump praised Japan for stepping up and pressed allies to do more.
00:52Now, it remains to be seen what do more looks like,
00:55but the allied support the president has been clamoring for comes just as we've learned some practical costs of the
01:01war effort.
01:02According to Secretary of War Pete Hegseth,
01:04it'll cost about $200 billion to reload Americans' weapons stockpile after this undertaking.
01:10As far as $200 billion, I think that number could move, obviously.
01:16It takes money to kill bad guys.
01:20So we're going back to Congress and our folks there to ensure that we're properly funded for what's been done,
01:26for what we may have to do in the future,
01:29ensure that our ammunition is, everything's refilled, and not just refilled, but above and beyond.
01:35Thank you, John McHenna K Lin piece.
01:36Amen.
01:36Bye, mon stickers.
