00:00Wilson Phillips has been making music for two decades and now the vocal trio and the daughters of music legends
00:06are tapping into their legacy, covering songs from the Beach Boys and the Mamas and the Papas for their newest
00:11album. It's called Dedicated. We've got Wendy and Kearney Wilson and Chyna Phillips joining us this morning. Hey, good morning,
00:18all three of you. First of all, I've got to ask you about the thrill we all got when we
00:23saw you in Bridesmaids.
00:24How did that all come about? It was crazy. We had no idea that this was going to happen. It
00:30just sort of fell out of the sky and it has been such a blessing for us because it sort
00:34of put us back on the map and gave us the shot in the arm that we needed.
00:37Well, this CD is a total blessing. As I just said to Kearney, I couldn't stop listening to it. It
00:42was so much fun. I mean, how did you pick the songs from your own parents' legacy?
00:46Well, we picked our favorite songs and we had to give, you know, the people what they wanted, the hits.
00:51But we also picked a few obscure songs that we absolutely hold dear to our hearts.
00:56Good Vibrations, for example, one of them.
00:58And also, you've got this reality. You guys are cooking with gas. You've got a reality show. It's about April
01:028th or something?
01:03April 8th on the TV Guide Network.
01:05It's called Wilson Phillips Still Holding On.
01:07Still Holding On.
01:09When do we get that title?
01:10Like we're 105 years old by now. It follows our lives and our nine children and we're working mothers.
01:17Well, let's let you work now. And the song, the DVD is called, or CD is called Dedicated. Ladies and
01:22gentlemen, Wilson Phillips.
01:37All the leaves are brown, and the sky is gray, and the sky is gray, I've been for a while,
01:50on a winter's day.
01:52On a winter's day, I'd be safe and warm, if I was in L.A. If I was in L
02:02.A. California dreamer, on such a winter's day.
02:12I stopped into a church. I passed it long the way.
02:20Well, I got down on my knees. I got down on my knees. And I pretend to pray. I pretend
02:28to pray.
02:28You know the preacher like the cold. He knows I'm gonna stay. He knows I'm gonna stay.
02:37Oh, California dreamer, California dreamer, California dreamer, on such a winter's day.
02:47Oh, oh, oh, oh.
02:55You know I got down on my knees.
03:21All the leaves are brown, and the sky is gray, and the sky is gray.
03:30I've been for a while. I've been for a while. On a winter's day. On a winter's day.
03:39And if I didn't tell her. If I didn't tell her. I could leave today. I could leave today.
03:47Today. California dreamer. California dreamer. On such a winter's day.
03:54California dreamer. On such a winter's day.
03:59California dreamer. On such a winter's day.
04:09So great, right? You guys, Governor Palin was doing this while you guys were singing.
04:15Just a little bit of dancing with you. That was so fun.
04:18We were pretending like we sound just like them back there.
04:20Can I admit something? My entire life, I thought it was, got down on my knees, and I began to
04:26pray.
04:27It's pretend to pray.
04:29I had no idea until I heard you just say that. That is weird.
04:34Either way.
04:34Welcome back.
04:36Great job.
04:39The album is called Dedicated. Back after this.
