Puri: Renowned sand artist and Padma Shri awardee Sudarsan Pattnaik created a sand sculpture on Friday to mark Pakhala Dibasa, celebrating Odisha's traditional dish and its cultural significance.He sculpted a representation of Pakhala, along with a variety of traditional Odia dishes such as fish, bara, onion, brinjal fry, and mango chutney, all crafted in sand.  The sand artist expressed his love for the traditional Odia delicacy. Taking to X, Pattnaik said, "Greetings on Pakhala Dibasa. A day dedicated to the most liked Odia delicacy, Pakhala, is indeed a great feeling. Here is my sand art at Puri beach in Odisha".Pattnaik emphasised that Pakhala, a traditional food of Odisha, is a significant part of Odia identity. He encourages every Odia to celebrate this day with enthusiasm and warmth. March 20 is observed annually as Pakhala Dibasa.
