00:00Do you find it hard to keep up with all the AWS services out there?
00:03Well, to be honest, same.
00:04Ever since leaving my solutions architect job at AWS to become an online cloud YouTuber and educator,
00:10it's been a real challenge to keep track of everything.
00:12And it doesn't help that the list of tools and services to learn just keeps growing every year.
00:17The good news is that with all the new AI tools out there,
00:19you don't have to spend hours reading through pages of notes or watching dozens of explainer videos.
00:24You can actually use those tools to help you save time and learn more effectively.
00:28That's why in this video, I want to share with you five AI hacks that I personally use to learn
00:33AWS faster.
00:34By the end, you'll see how I'm able to turn a few simple prompts into a full study system,
00:38complete with a study roadmap, slide decks, a podcast, custom sheets, and even exam-ready notes.
00:44And so if you're a cloud learner or someone working in tech,
00:47this video will give you some practical ways to use AI for your own study workflow.
00:51For today's video, I'll be using SkyWork.ai,
00:53mainly because it's one of those all-in-one AI tools that comes with a lot of features already built
00:58in.
00:58I mean, you can always get separate subscriptions for each type of task,
01:01but something like SkyWork makes it a lot easier to have all your inputs in one place.
01:05SkyWork, by the way, uses super agents.
01:07So it's mode-to-model and can create docs, slides, sheets, podcasts, and even web pages from single prompts.
01:14Now, let's say I'm a beginner to AWS.
01:16I've watched a few videos, maybe enrolled in one or two courses,
01:19but I don't really understand cloud computing at a deeper level,
01:22and I really like to get my cloud practitioner certification.
01:25Which brings me to my first AI hack, creating a study roadmap with citations.
01:29Now, the key to creating every study roadmap or study plan is to ask for citations,
01:34because it changes everything.
01:35If you just ask AI to make me a study roadmap,
01:38most of the time you'll get something pretty generic and potentially outdated.
01:41It might look okay at first glance,
01:43but you can't be sure if the information is up-to-date or even accurate.
01:46By asking for citations, I know exactly where the content came from.
01:50That way, I'm building my study plan on reliable material rather than just random notes.
01:54Let me show you an example.
01:56So here I am on SkyWork.
01:58You can see that I have asked it to create a study roadmap and action plan
02:01to help me pass the AWS Cloud Practitioner certification,
02:05and also to add citations to documentation.
02:07What this has done is asked me a few follow-up questions.
02:10So for example, the roadmap title,
02:13what language I'd like it to be written in,
02:15the length, timeline preference,
02:17and also the study resources focus.
02:20You can also leave this blank,
02:21or you can select which one you'd like,
02:23and you can also leave it up to the AI to help you auto-plan and make decisions.
02:28So after a few moments,
02:29it's also come up with a to-do list of what it's going to focus on.
02:32And here's the result.
02:34I've exported it as a PDF.
02:36Let's take a look.
02:37So we have an introduction.
02:38We have an exam overview and expectations.
02:41Nice.
02:41They've turned the exam domains into a pie chart.
02:44If we scroll down,
02:45you'll also see that they recommend study materials,
02:48mostly from AWS,
02:50but also some third-party vendors as well.
02:52After that,
02:53they've given me a 30-day study plan breakdown.
02:55So day one is just to start off with the introduction to cloud computing,
02:59and then you can see that each day,
03:01you focus on a different topic.
03:03Nice.
03:04So let me scroll all the way down
03:05to see if there's any exam tips or anything else that they have.
03:09Everything is super detailed.
03:11The study plan for each day.
03:13Cool.
03:13So as I've hoped for,
03:14they also have some key study tips for success.
03:17And here's some additional resources.
03:19At the end here,
03:20you'll see all the references and citations.
03:22And most of it is from credible sources,
03:25like Amazon's documentation.
03:27But you can see that they've also taken some advice from Medium articles,
03:31LinkedIn posts,
03:33some third-party websites,
03:35even Reddit,
03:35and so on.
03:36Wow.
03:37Okay.
03:37So the list of references is very extensive.
03:40You can see that the AI really has done some deep research to come up with this study plan.
03:44All right.
03:44AI hack number two is for my visual learners out there.
03:47And that is to generate slide decks out of your study notes.
03:50Now,
03:50the reason I like to do this is because study decks help me absorb information much faster.
03:55By breaking down text into bullet points, diagrams, comparison tables, and so on,
03:59I'm able to see information in a more clear visual format,
04:02which makes it stick and easier to record during exams.
04:05I also like the feeling of being able to flick through slides rather than just reading notes.
04:10And if I want to consolidate my knowledge by teaching others,
04:13then a slide deck is the way to go.
04:14Okay.
04:15Here's how I do it.
04:16So what I've done is upload a copy of my cloud practitioner study notes.
04:19By the way,
04:20if you want a copy of this,
04:21you can head to zerotocloud.co.
04:23The prompt I entered was turn domain one of my cloud practitioner notes into a concise slide deck for exam
04:29revision.
04:30I've also asked it to add any visual diagrams,
04:32comparison tables, as well as analogies to help me reinforce my knowledge.
04:36Once again,
04:37you can see the AI at work and it comes up with a to-do list.
04:40So generate the outline of the slides and create the slides.
04:44Let's see what it came up with.
04:45Wow.
04:45Okay.
04:46So I've just generated it and I haven't had a proper look.
04:48So let's take a look now to see if all the information is nice and accurate.
04:52It starts off with what is cloud computing.
04:55Nice.
04:56Okay.
04:56And then cloud deployment models,
04:58public,
04:59private,
04:59hybrid.
05:00Wow.
05:00Okay.
05:01I really like this part.
05:02It compares the cost and security and speed.
05:05I don't know if we can see it.
05:07I'll zoom in a bit more.
05:08You can see here that it says private cloud will cost more,
05:11whereas public cloud would usually be the cheapest.
05:13I mean,
05:14if I see something nice and visual like this,
05:16it makes it really easy for me to remember.
05:18Okay.
05:18Let's take a look at the rest of the slides.
05:21Nice.
05:21Yeah.
05:22Overall looking really good and very detailed slides.
05:25It also at the same time doesn't overwhelm me with too much information.
05:28It has like just the right amount of detail that I'm looking for.
05:31And at the end,
05:32they've put a little summary as well as exam tips.
05:34Another interesting way I use AI in my study routine is by turning my notes into a podcast.
05:40Sometimes I don't feel like reading slides or pages of notes.
05:43And that's where listening to an audio version of my notes really helps.
05:46I don't know if it was just me,
05:47but in high school,
05:48I would record myself reading out my English essays in order to try and memorize them.
05:52I would listen to them in the car while walking or even when doing chores.
05:56And I really liked how it reinforces the knowledge in a completely different way.
06:00It's sort of like semi-passive revision because I didn't need to look at a screen or my notebook.
06:04The good thing with AI is that you don't have to record it manually like I did.
06:08Let me show you how.
06:09Okay, so what I've done again is upload my Cloud Practitioner study notes as a source.
06:14And then I've asked it to summarize the main one of my Cloud Practitioner notes
06:17into a podcast style script that I can listen to.
06:21And I've asked it to keep the tone simple and conversational and focus on the key takeaways.
06:25So it's asked me a few interesting follow-up questions.
06:28Like for example,
06:29do you want it to be educational, conversational or interview style?
06:32I was thinking if it's more like a conversation, it would be a bit too bizarre for me because I
06:37think
06:38I was just looking for something simple, like just a readout of my notes.
06:41But I definitely recommend playing around with the different styles.
06:44All right, let's listen to the podcast together.
06:46Welcome to AWS Cloud Concepts Essentials,
06:50your quick guide to understanding the fundamentals of cloud computing with AWS.
06:56I'm not going to play the whole thing because it's 12 minutes long.
06:58We can have a quick look at the transcript.
07:00It's pretty much changed my study notes into something very conversational.
07:05So instead of the AI just dumping all my notes into an audio format,
07:08it's actually changed up the words so that it's easier for me to digest.
07:12And imagine the possibilities,
07:13like someone could just upload this onto YouTube with a few slide decks.
07:17And yeah, that could be a good way to educate the cloud community, especially beginners.
07:22Okay, AI hack number four is to track your progress while you study through charts, data and sheets.
07:27One of the biggest challenges with certifications like Cloud Practitioner is knowing whether or not
07:32you're actually making progress towards all the exam domains.
07:35It's easy to just keep consuming content without realizing what you've covered and what still needs work.
07:40And so with AI, you can create a spreadsheet that you can update as you progress
07:44and charts that will give you a quick snapshot of the areas you're strong in
07:47and the areas you may need more revision.
07:49Let me show you what I mean.
07:50What I've asked is for the AI to build me a study progress tracker for the Cloud Practitioner exam
07:56and add any charts to automatically visualize my progress.
07:59And long story short, here's the result.
08:02A Cloud Practitioner study progress dashboard.
08:04You can see here that there's a few errors, but that's because I haven't inputted my data.
08:08Now, if we look at the different sections,
08:10you can see that one of them is to import the scores of your mock exams.
08:14This one is a fail, a fail, then pass, pass and so on.
08:17And you can see that there's also a chart as well for you to better visualize it.
08:21You can also put in the topics you studied for as well as the number of hours.
08:25So that way, it can track your progress.
08:27What I really like about this is that it can actually estimate your confidence levels.
08:31So instead of thinking, oh, do I feel ready?
08:34It actually takes the data from your mock exams, the number of hours you've studied
08:38to show you what topics you need to work on.
08:40All right, for my last hack, I want to show you something a little different,
08:43which is to gamify your cloud learning.
08:45Back in the day when people said gamify your learning,
08:47it usually meant something like creating flashcards or simple quizzes.
08:51And while that works, it gets boring and repetitive fast.
08:54With AI, the opportunities for gamified learning are endless.
08:58You're not just limited to flashcards anymore.
09:00You can literally turn your study materials into interactive games.
09:03Now, the reason I do this is because it transforms revision from passive recall
09:07to something more active and fun.
09:09And while I'm playing a game, I'm actually testing myself under a bit of pressure,
09:13which is exactly how it feels like to be in an exam.
09:16For example, this is a Flappy Bird quiz style game I built
09:19where you answer yes or no to AWS Cloud questions.
09:23All right, here's the secret prompt I used.
09:25Create a single file HTML Flappy Bird style quiz game
09:28where each game has a yes or no answer to a multiple choice question.
09:32Player has to fly through the correct answer to score points.
09:35And I'm not gonna lie, it did take a bit of back and forth
09:38for me to generate the exact game I had in mind.
09:40But let me show you how cool it is.
09:42So you can select the difficulty as well as number of questions that you'd like to answer
09:46and then click start game.
09:48And here's how to play the game.
09:50Is it object storage?
09:51Does it support cross-region replicas?
09:53Nice, pretty cool game.
09:55So those are the five AI hacks I used to learn AWS faster.
09:58Let me know in the comments, did any of these surprise you?
10:01And which one of these would you use for your own cloud learning?
10:04If you want to try out Skywork for yourself,
10:06I've left a link to it in the description below for you to get started.
10:09All right, this brings us to the end of the video.
10:10Thanks for watching and I'll see you in the next one.
10:13Bye for now.
