00:00I appreciate the question and it's an appropriate one. I mean, we're all absorbing. You know, we heard some rumors
00:05early yesterday, a few days ago, someone said something may be coming out, investigation as it relates to this. And,
00:12you know, this is, it's March 30th, I think at the end of the month, Cesar Chavez Day.
00:17And, you know, every year, the governor of California proclaims Cesar Chavez Day. It's in statute. And how many days
00:24I've marched, how many times I've been with students, you know, talking about the movement, how many photographs I have
00:31in my house of Bobby Kennedy, Cesar Chavez.
00:34I woke up this morning. He was right there. And so it's been hard to absorb this. You know, Jen
00:40and I are very close with Dolores. So many of us are, but very close.
00:44I've been for decades and decades and none of us knew.
00:57I think all of us are processing it. And, you know, and just these kids have to process it now.
01:06I mean, I think there's Brooks, I don't know, was three dozen schools in the state are named after Cesar
01:12Chavez.
01:12I don't know a community in the country. I traveled to 14 states the last few weeks. I think I
01:18was, you know, in 14 Cesar Chavez streets in every part of this country.
01:22So we're just going to have to reflect on all of that and, you know, reflect on a farm workers
01:28movement and a labor movement that was much bigger than one man and celebrate that.
01:36And that will be our focus as we process what the next steps are. There was never an indication all
01:42these years, you know, particularly having spent so many, so many, so much time with Dolores and not having about
01:49two kids.
01:50I mean, it was, you know, just a lot to process. So, look, I think, again, it's about the movement.
01:57It's about farm workers. It's about labor. It's about social justice, economic justice, racial justice.
02:06All things that, that the movement, you know, has inspired and we should all be celebrating.
02:16Obviously, these are brand new conversations. So we're having conversations in a very public way right now. But those are
02:23important conversations. I think we need to have those conversations. I think that's the right.
