Dan Orlovsky details how the Patriots can win Super Bowl 60
Transcript
00:00What is this game going to come down to?
00:01If New England's defense can keep them in it,
00:03that's the best offense this defense has seen by a wide margin,
00:07the most versatile one that they've seen by a wide margin in the playoffs,
00:10can this defense keep them in it?
00:12I think that, and I've said this, and Patriots fans don't like it,
00:15the balls down the field are there.
00:17They just haven't been thrown.
00:18You just got to pull them, and you got to hit them.
00:20And that's the biggest thing that Sam and this offense have done this year.
00:24When it's there, they hit them.
00:25And so can that defense for New England keep them in the game?
00:29Can that big shot not just break their back?
00:32And if they can, again, I think that if I was New England
00:36and I got to handle this defensive front and everyone goes to Seattle front,
00:40it's not just about third down.
00:41You got to have quick hitting runs that make these defensive tackles hesitate.
00:45You got to handle the edges on second down on a big deal.
00:48I think down in the red zone, once you get there,
00:50Drake's legs have to be a designed part of the game.
00:53I understand the shoulder is what it is.
00:54You're not good enough to just go eat up this red zone defense.
00:58You're just not.
00:59And so the legs have to be a big part of it.
01:01And if they can do that, I think that they can stay in the game in the fourth quarter.
01:05Okay.
01:05So you think the Patriots are vulnerable deep?
01:07Big time.
01:08And is that because of safety play?
01:11I think it's just, yeah.
01:12So they play this coverage that we call palms.
01:15And it's a read coverage.
01:17Okay.
01:17Without getting super deep in the weeds here, the corner and the safety on either side of
01:22the field are reading the route.
01:24They both have to see it the same way at the same time and get to the same, the right
01:28place.
01:28And as an offense, I can make things look the same, look the same, look the same.
01:32And so you're guessing.
01:33And then all of a sudden snap things off.
01:35And if I get one of you to be wrong for a 10th of a second, we win.
01:41And I think that really, really good offenses and the offenses that are built to do it are
01:47the Shanahan McVay tree offenses.
01:48So I think, I think stuff is there.
01:50Yes.
