00:00What is the thing you're the most proud of with all this amazing career you still have?
00:05The thing I'm most proud of is being able to be a popular artist,
00:12but also balance good family life and time.
00:16You know, my kids are important to me, my wife, you know, my mom.
00:22I just recently lost my grandmother.
00:24She was 102.
00:26She was going to be 102.
00:28And she lived a long, full life.
00:30And, you know, that's very important to me.
00:33I thought you were going to say the day you met Chanda Paul.
00:37Can you explain this very, very shorty?
00:40Yeah, I am proud to meet him, you know.
00:42So Chanda Paul is a famous cricketer from the Caribbean.
00:46And he was very popular when I first used the name.
00:50And the reason why I used the name is I have a friend.
00:52We were freestyling together.
00:54And he was like, tell the liquor boy of them if you jump over a while.
00:57Right now I'm going to pass the mic to Chanda Paul.
01:00And he said my name like that.
01:02And everybody in the studio laughed.
01:04Like everybody was like, oh, yo.
01:06Because they know my name is Chanda Paul.
01:09But he just said it as a kind of a mistake.
01:12And it just stuck.
01:13And after that, I did it as a joke.
01:16Said it in many songs.
01:18And so Chanda Paul, I never really met him.
01:21And then way down, you know, years later, when I met him and I told him that story,
01:27he was like, wow, I always knew you were calling my name.
01:30I just didn't know why.
01:33Amazing.
01:33But yeah, you know, Chanda Paul, Chanda Paul, it was kind of like a funny thing.
01:40And it just stuck.
01:41And we, the French, we never noticed it was Chanda Paul and not Chanda Paul.
01:44I did it on my ride, I'm a lyrics up, I find electricity.
