00:00For months, Korea had to deal with a devastating virus that filled the country with zombies.
00:04After 180 days with no new cases, the government announces that the state of emergency can finally
00:09be lifted. However Jung Hwan has a big secret, his daughter Su Ae is a zombie, and he's been
00:14keeping her hidden all this time. Today he's brought her some food and Su Ae tries to attack
00:18him, but Jung Hwan easily blocks her. This started some months ago. Jung Hwan works at the local
00:23zoo as an animal trainer, he also makes videos for the internet to promote the zoo. Lately he's been
00:27teaching a tiger how to dance, and he pulls off some moves for the camera. The tiger actually
00:31copies Jung Hwan's walk but doesn't do much more. At home, Su Ae loves spending her time dancing.
00:36Jung Hwan likes to encourage her and give her tips, but Su Ae doesn't want him in her room and
00:40has even
00:41put up a sign. When he tries to show her his moves, Su Ae reminds him that he quit dancing
00:45and kicks
00:45him out. Jung Hwan then checks on the family cat Yi Young-yi, who also ignores him and prefers to
00:50watch TV. The cat clip show is interrupted by a newsflash showing the first zombie attacking
00:54civilians on the street. The next day Jung Hwan surprises Su Ae with a birthday cake, and his
00:59mother Bam soon joins the celebration on a video call. Jung Hwan jokes about not giving Su Ae her
01:03present, so she tickles him until he tells her where to find it. While Su Ae opens her gift,
01:07she hears a weird noise and calls her dad to make him look out the window. Their neighbors are outside
01:12having a very weird fight, and Su Ae starts filming them. The woman pushes her husband against the wall
01:16and buries her face in his neck, so Jung Hwan stops Su Ae's filming because he thinks this is getting
01:21dirty. However when the woman pulls away, they discover she's brutally bitten her husband's neck.
01:25When she turns around the woman reveals she's a zombie. She rushes to their window and starts
01:29pounding on it, so the family hides behind the sofa. At that moment Su Ae's phone starts wailing with an
01:34emergency text, but she quickly turns it off. The zombie keeps pounding on the window and the glass is
01:39cracking, so Jung Hwan sends Su Ae to her room with Yi Young-yi. The window finally breaks and the
01:43zombie
01:43starts climbing inside, but she freezes when Jung Hwan scolds her and threatens to call the cops.
01:48Unfortunately it isn't effective and the zombie keeps moving, so Jung Hwan pushes the sofa to trap
01:53her against the railing. Then he runs to Su Ae's room, where she shows him a text from a friend
01:57whose mother has also become a zombie. The family decides to run away, only to find utter chaos on
02:01the streets with people fighting off zombies everywhere. Even a little doggy has transformed.
02:06Jung Hwan tries to call the emergency number, but phone lines aren't working and he only receives texts
02:10warning him about an infection spreading around the country. Guessing that the countryside must be safer,
02:14Jung Hwan says they should go to Bam Soon's house. At that moment they're surrounded by zombies,
02:19so Su Ae pretends to be one too and roars at the horde to keep them back. Jung Hwan copies
02:23her and they
02:24both use their dance skills to bend their limbs in funny ways to make it believable. Unfortunately the
02:28zombies realize they're lying and try to attack, so the duo starts running. Su Ae accidentally trips
02:33and an old lady tries to bite her, so Jung Hwan stretches his arm to protect her. The zombie bites
02:38him
02:38instead and luckily she has fake teeth, so Jung Hwan just removes them from his arm without infection.
02:42The duo keeps running but there are too many zombies on the streets. Jung Hwan gives Su Ae the carrier
02:47with Eung Yi and asks them to wait while he tries to get a car. Then he grabs a traffic
02:51sign and uses
02:52it to push zombies out of his way as he runs toward a vehicle. As soon as he gets in
02:56the car zombies
02:56surround him, so Jung Hwan speeds up to throw them off. Then he picks up his daughter and cat to
03:01finally
03:01leave. Outside the city, Jung Hwan celebrates their escape, but Su Ae is upset. He notices her fidgeting
03:07with her sleeve and immediately takes a look, only to discover she's been bitten. She explains that while she
03:12waited, a little kid zombie surprised her from behind. Jung Hwan tries to assure her that she'll
03:16be fine, but her body is already transforming and she passes out. When Su Ae awakens, she's become a
03:21zombie. She immediately tries to bite her father, who makes a sudden turn and ends up driving off the
03:26road. Jung Hwan reaches for her hoodie and closes it tightly to block a bite. Su Ae manages to push
03:31him
03:31down, but Jung Hwan grabs the seatbelt and moves to the backseat. After lots of pulling, Su Ae hits her
03:36head and passes out. In the evening, Bam Soon comes home to find her son waiting outside her house.
03:41He tells her that Su Ae is sick and tries to stop her from going inside, but Bam Soon pushes
03:45him off
03:46and rushes into the living room to find a huge mess plus Su Ae growling in the corner. When Bam
03:50Soon
03:50scolds her for the mess Su Ae tries to attack her, however the old lady moves fast and hits her
03:54twice
03:55with a backscratcher to knock her out. Afterward Su Ae is tied to a chair and Jung Hwan properly explains
04:00the situation, so Bam Soon has a breakdown. On TV, the government is holding a press conference.
04:04They say they're working with the military to stop the virus and ask citizens to avoid
04:08contact with zombies. The next day Jung Hwan drives to the hospital and makes Su Ae wait in the car.
04:13Inside he finds a crowd gathering around a doctor that just got bitten and a woman protecting her
04:17zombie son. Soldiers burst in and tell her to stay away, but as she insists her boy is fine,
04:22he bites her too. The soldiers open fire to kill the zombie, so a horrified Jung Hwan runs back to
04:27the
04:27car. As he watches more soldiers arrive, he decides to keep Su Ae a secret. When they return home,
04:32Jung Hwan takes the phone from Bam Soon to stop her from telling her friends about Su Ae.
04:37He asks her to keep the secret too while on TV, they announce that harboring zombies is a criminal
04:41offense. Jung Hwan refuses to let cops shoot Su Ae to death and says he'd rather do it himself.
04:46After digging a hole in the garden, Jung Hwan raises his shovel to hit his daughter.
04:50However he thinks about all their moments together and he ends up having a breakdown instead.
04:54He even hugs her while avoiding her mouth. Bam Soon grabs the shovel and says she can do it,
04:58so Jung Hwan has to stop her. While they argue, Su Ae uses the chance to remove her restraints and

05:03away. Yi Young-yi's meowing alerts Bam Soon and Jung Hwan of Su Ae's escape, so they immediately run
05:08down the village to look for her. Jung Hwan remembers a special spot on the pier and rushes there to
05:12finally find her. If she came here because she loved it as a child, it means she still has her
05:17memories,
05:17so Jung Hwan concludes she's still alive under the virus transformation. He plays a song on his phone
05:22and Su Ae starts dancing, confirming his theory. Later at home, the family watches a video from a
05:27scientist explaining that the virus destroys brain cells and only leaves survival instincts.
05:31They've been experimenting on rats and discovered that stimulating their brains helps them recover
05:35their memories and weakens the virus. Bam Soon tries to feed Su Ae rice with egg, but the girl
05:39ignores her and only eats the meat dishes. At that moment, Dong Bae enters the house because he's heard
05:44that his childhood best friend is back in town. Jung Hwan and Bam Soon try to keep him away but
05:48Dong Bae ends up seeing Su Ae anyway. He runs to the street and tries to call the police, but

05:53him and explains his theory. When Dong Bae doesn't believe him, Jung Hwan shows him a video of Su Ae
05:58dancing in her zombie state and swears he'll train her just like he used to train tigers. After the
06:02girl falls asleep, Jung Hwan informs Bam Soon that Dong Bae wants them gone by morning. As soon as the

06:08rises, Jung Hwan goes outside and finds Dong Bae sleeping in his car. However Dong Bae has brought good
06:13news, there's a pharmaceutical company working on a cure, so he'll allow Jung Hwan to keep his daughter
06:17while they wait. To stay safe until then, the family takes Su Ae to a deserted island where they plan
06:22to train her.
06:22Jung Hwan starts by trying to teach her to shake hands, but Su Ae bites the glove on the stick.
06:27A terrified Dong Bae wants to run away and Jung Hwan reminds him not to show his back,
06:31yet Su Ae chases after him anyway. Next Jung Hwan goes for social training and manages to make Su Ae
06:36double blink like a cat. Suddenly she tries to bite him, so Jung Hwan blows a whistle to stop her.
06:41He thinks his training is working, however Su Ae only froze because Bam Soon is threatening her behind
06:46John Hwan's back. The next day the guys make Su Ae exercise, and Jung Hwan takes some pictures since
06:51he's starting a diary to keep track of her progress. Bam Soon keeps her well fed and Jung Hwan notices

06:56daughter isn't as bitey if she's full. As days pass, the number of zombies around the country starts
07:00decreasing, and the government raises the reward for reporting infected people. The family keeps
07:05working together and even manages to enjoy themselves. Eventually they feel safe enough to
07:09return home. One morning, Jung Hwan checks on his daughter and he has to quickly block her attack.
07:14To his surprise, Su Ae slowly backs off and stops growling. Jung Hwan offers her his arm and Su Ae
07:19almost bites it,
07:20but she stops herself at the last second. Pleased by such great progress, Jung Hwan decides to teach
07:25Su Ae how to talk, but the only noise she makes is growling. Bam Soon thinks Su Ae's lack of
07:29biting
07:29means they can take her out now, but first they need to fix her looks. Jung Hwan goes downtown and
07:34buys some makeup. When he's about to leave, he sees his first love Yun Hwan and tries to hide,
07:39but she finds him anyway. She offers to give him a ride and shares that she's now a teacher at
07:43the
07:43school they used to attend. Yun Hwan wants to visit Bam Soon and meet Jung Hwan's daughter, so he forces
07:48her to stop the car and goes home on foot to keep her away. In the evening, Jung Hwan and

07:53at a restaurant where they're suddenly approached by Yun Hwa. She's heard that Jung Hwan is divorced
07:57and that Su Ae is being treated for a brain disease, so she apologizes for her attitude earlier.

08:06well, but Jung Hwan refuses. On TV, they announce that it's been 200 days with no zombies found so the
08:12virus is close to reaching its end. Yun Hwa admits she hates zombies and shares that her fiancé got infected,
08:17so she was forced to kill him. Later at home, Jung Hwan checks Yun Hwa's social media and finds
08:22many pictures of her with a sword. He also learns that she received an award for the most reported
08:26zombies. Meanwhile Su Ae is enthralled by a commercial promoting a cosplay festival. The next
08:31day Jung Hwan goes to the city and sees the cops trying to keep a protest under control. People are
08:35demanding to know the real cause behind the virus and asking for justice for the killed infectees.
08:39At his old apartment, Jung Hwan gathers his daughter's clothes and discovers a box in the closet.
08:44Inside there are pictures of Su Ae with her friends and her diary, but when Jung Hwan is about to
08:48read
08:48it, he imagines his daughter is there to tell him not to do it. She asks him to be patient
08:52while she
08:52recovers and they end up dancing together. However when Jung Hwan remembers he's imagining things,
08:57he has a breakdown. Among the pictures, there's one of last year's cosplay festival and he remembers
09:01how enthralled Su Ae was by the TV ad. Jung Hwan rushes back to town and convinces Dongbae to help
09:06him take Su Ae to that festival because it could help her regain her memories. Then Jung Hwan goes home
09:11and discovers that Yun Hwa is having dinner with Bam Soon. At that moment Su Ae tries to leave her
09:15room, so Jung Hwan rushes to push her back inside before Yun Hwa can see her. Su Ae then starts
09:20growling and pounding on the door, and Yun Hwa thinks the noise sounds familiar. Jung Hwan quickly
09:25blows his whistle to distract her and drags her out of the house, firmly telling her to never come back.
09:29The next day Bam Soon puts makeup on Su Ae to get her ready for the festival. Dongbae shows up
09:34dressed
09:34as Thor because being in costume gets discounts at the festival. Bam Soon then shows them the final result
09:39and the men are surprised by how beautiful Su Ae looks. While the guys take Su Ae to the festival,
09:43Bam Soon attends a town meeting where the chief announces they've received an award for being
09:47zombie-free. Bam Soon spits her drink in shock and Yun Hwa grows suspicious. The chief then asks Bam
09:52Soon why her granddaughter isn't going to school and Bam Soon tries to explain that Su Ae is sick,
09:56but the chief says it's a bad excuse and Yun Hwa agrees. A nervous Bam Soon claims that Su Ae
10:01is being
10:01homeschooled and tries to leave the meeting, but she stays when the chief tells her they'll do karaoke.
10:05At the festival, the guys have lots of fun in all the attractions, but Su Ae continues to have the
10:10same absent expression. Jung Hwan shows her pictures of her previous visits to no avail.
10:15At that moment Dongbae reads some news about the cure for the zombie virus being close to Yu's
10:19authorization. The men hug and celebrate, but when they turn around Su Ae is gone. Meanwhile Su Ae is
10:24following a delicious smell and bumps into another woman, causing her to fall. At first she growls at her,
10:29but she's more interested in the smell and leaves instead of attacking. Eventually she makes it to a food
10:33booth and takes a churro without paying, causing the clerk to freak out. At that moment the guys find
10:38her and Su Ae shocks her father by saying the word churros. Jung Hwan hugs her as he cries in
10:42happiness,
10:43then he tells the clerk he'll buy all the churros he has. When Bam Soon gets home,
10:47she finds Eung Yee meowing in frustration because he's eaten too much. It turns out Yun Hwa has fed him
10:52to distract him and now she's waiting there with her sword. Bam Soon tries to kick her out,
10:56but Yun Hwa pulls out the progress diary with Su Ae's zombie pictures. Yun Hwa wants to know if Su
11:01Ae's
11:01mother knows about this and Bam Soon tells her that her daughter is dead. Now Yun Hwa is confused
11:05because Su Ae's parents are siblings, but she ignores the issue and calls the police. Bam Soon
11:10takes the phone from her and explains that Jung Hwan isn't Su Ae's biological father. Her real dad
11:14abandoned the mother to work in the city, and would only show up now and then to ask for money.
11:18Jung Hwan always stayed by his sister's side to help her raise the baby and enjoyed being a babysitter.
11:23On the night of Jung Hwan's birthday, Dong Bae dragged him to a bar to celebrate and Su Ae was
11:27left alone at home. After the party, he called his sister to assure her everything was fine,
11:31but she was furious. She was so distracted by this call that when she crossed the street,
11:35she was run over by a car and instantly killed. Since then Jung Hwan has been taken care of Su
11:40Ae,
11:40who chose to call him dad when she was still a baby. The insurance money from the accident was
11:44taken by the biological father, who ran away with his mistress. At that moment Su Ae and the guys come
11:49back. Yun Hwa immediately gets her sword and attacks, so Jung Hwan protects his daughter and the sword
11:54hits him on the back. Su Ae growls at Yun Hwa and tries to attack her, but Jung Hwan makes
11:58her stop.
11:59Yun Hwa is shocked to see that a zombie following orders, but she refuses to believe it's real because
12:03it had mean she didn't give her fiancé a fair chance. She attacks with her sword again, knocking
12:08down Dong Bae before Jung Hwan and Bam Soon block her. Then Bam Soon makes everyone calm down by
12:13revealing another problem. The chief wants Su Ae at school tomorrow, otherwise the school board will come to
12:17drag her out. Jung Hwan thinks it's a bad idea, but Yun Hwa points out that if Su Ae is
12:22as well as he says,
12:22school shouldn't be a problem. If they don't send her to school, Yun Hwa will call the police.
12:27The next day, Su Ae goes to school with lots of makeup on. Yun Hwa tells the other students that
12:32Su Ae was in an accident and can't speak well as a cover-up story. When Jung Hwan shows up

13:35which shocks Yun Hwa. That night, Jung Hwan and Yun Hwa discuss the situation in a restaurant. Yun Hwa
13:40doesn't know if admitting she was wrong or keep hating zombies, which makes her act a bit crazy.
13:44At home, Bam Soon plays cards with Su Ae, who finally laughs again. At that moment someone
13:49knocks on the door and Bam Soon is horrified to find Su Ae's father, who shows her a video on
13:54his phone.
13:54The woman who bumped into Su Ae at the festival has recorded her and is complaining about her online.
13:59When the man makes his way inside, Bam Soon and Eung Yee start attacking him. The guy is stronger so

14:26punches his brother-in-law and unties Su Ae, only for the other man to jump on him and hit

14:30times. The guy blames Jung Hwan for his wife's death, so a furious Jung Hwan tackles him and starts
14:35punching him in the face. His brother-in-law tells him about the viral video and offers to split the

14:40reward, distracting Jung Hwan enough to bite him and throw him off. As the man continues to beat
14:44Jung Hwan up, Su Ae finally snaps and jumps on her biological father to bite his neck.
14:49Jung Hwan pulls her away and manages to calm her down with a few words. When the new zombie tries
14:53to attack them, Jung Hwan quickly fights back. Afterward Jung Hwan takes Su Ae home and notices
14:58she has a fever. Bam Soon asks about her son-in-law and Jung Hwan only says he won't return.

15:03tells Dongbae that he'll leave with Su Ae, so he wants his friend to pretend he didn't know anything to
15:08protect himself. When Jung Hwan gets home, Bam Soon insists to come along. Even Eeyong Yi keeps
15:13jumping into the boxes because he also wants to come. The next morning, Bam Soon meets with
15:17Yun Hwa because she's supposed to give her a letter from Jung Hwan. However she freezes when she sees
15:22some military trucks arrive in her little town. She tries calling Jung Hwan to warn him, but the phone
15:26is out of service. Then Bam Soon opens the letter to learn that her son tricked her and he's already
15:30left with Su Ae. By the time the soldiers make it to their house, they only find the cat. At
15:35the pier,
15:35Jung Hwan is getting the boat ready to leave for the island, but unfortunately the soldiers arrive
15:39and surround the place. The duo hides inside a building and Jung Hwan announces he'll only come
15:44out if they promise not to kill Su Ae. However the soldiers say they don't negotiate with criminals
15:48and start hammering the door. Jung Hwan apologizes to Su Ae for failing to protect her and asks her to
15:53bite him so they can be together forever. Su Ae refuses, so a crying Jung Hwan hugs her and asks
15:58again
15:58until she bites his neck. Suddenly the soldiers burst in an open fire, so Jung Hwan acts as a shield
16:03and is
16:03shot down. A devastated Su Ae watches him collapse while finally saying the word daddy. Hearing this,
16:08the captain makes his men stop the fire. Jung Hwan congratulates his daughter for being able to talk
16:13and touches her cheek before he dies. Su Ae has a breakdown while remembering the day she and Jung
16:17Hwan made a snowman. That day, she called him uncle and thanked him for being her dad. Some time later
16:23Su Ae wakes up and the hospital completely recovered. Bam Soon takes her to another room and reveals they did
16:27save Jung Hwan, but he's in a coma. Neutralizing antibodies have been found in his blood and are
16:32now being used for the cure, so his face appears on the news all over the world. Doctors theorize that
16:37he developed immunity while training Su Ae and it was his blood that cured her. Su Ae reads the
