00:00I previously expressed my extreme disappointment
00:07with the incidences that took place at the final match.
00:12The important thing of what happened on that final match
00:15is it undermines the good work that CAF has done over many, many years
00:20to ensure that there's integrity, that there's respect,
00:24that there's ethics, that there's governance
00:26as well as credibility of the results of our football matches.
00:30Not a single country in Africa
00:33will be treated in a manner that is more preferential
00:37or more advantageous or more favourable
00:40than any other country on the African continent.
00:44We have very high standards that we set for ourselves.
00:46It is important for us that ordinary football supporters
00:50and spectators in every one of the 54 countries in Africa
00:55in their judgement,not in CAF's judgement,not in my judgement
00:58regard the decisions of our judicial bodies as fair
01:02with integrity and impartiality
01:05and what is equally important
01:07that they regard our referees, our VAR operators
01:11and our match commissioners as people who are fair and just
01:16and those decisions that are taken
01:18reflect the impartiality and independence as critically important.
01:23quickly in the background.
01:23Justice?
