00:45I talked with this grieving mother on the phone.
00:48She says the facility called her saying they noticed something was wrong
00:52when Madeline didn't wake up from an afternoon nap.
00:55They tried CPR, but it couldn't save her.
00:57Local mom of two, Tiffany Townsend, tells us Creative Beginnings is one of the only daycares in town
01:03and is a busy one.
01:05To hear it was this child's first day makes this hurt even more.
01:09It makes me want to cry right now, like, thinking about it.
01:11Like, it's heartbreaking.
01:13Absolutely.
01:14I stayed home with mine until they were three and then they started preschool.
01:17Lenore Police are working with the medical examiner to determine the exact cause of Madeline's death.
01:22I'm curious to know because I literally just live right over the hill.
01:26So it'd be nice to know what actually happened.
01:28Investigators say Creative Beginnings has been fully cooperative.
01:32The daycare expressed its heartache and condolences in a statement posted online.
