Most leaders completely miss this… and it is costing them their future top performers.

In this powerful clip from The Mason Duchatschek Show, Bryant Wright, co-author of Built Wright: What It Takes to Build Something That Lasts, breaks down a critical leadership truth:

The best employees are not always obvious early on.

Too many CEOs, business owners, and managers focus only on current performance instead of future potential. And because of that, they overlook, undervalue, or disengage the very people who could become their strongest contributors.

πŸ’‘ Bryant explains:

Why potential is more important than early performance

How great leaders identify future top performers before anyone else

The costly mistake of overlooking new or quiet employees

How to create a culture that develops long-term talent

Why early encouragement drives retention and performance

If you are a CEO, business owner, executive, or team leader, this insight could completely change how you build your team.

00:00That was a mic drop moment.
00:01Every business leader needs to be paying close attention to.
00:05A lot of times, and the kids don't always see it, but that freshman who may not be a
00:10big contributor right now, maybe a state champion in a year or two, you can see what's coming.
00:16Not everyone else does.
00:18But if that kid doesn't feel important as a freshman or doesn't feel encouraged or part
00:22of it, he might not ever become a state champion because he might not come out again next year.
00:26And I think of how many business owners and managers, well, it's just some new guy or
00:30oh, it's just some guy in the mailroom or oh, it's just some guy.
00:32You don't know.
00:33You might not know how much potential that person has.
00:36And if you don't treat them right and you don't make that extra effort, you're not going to
00:41get that extra discretionary effort or talent out of them.
00:44And the company and the team is going to suffer.
00:46Exactly.
