06:18First of all, I'd like to make clear that the Model Code of Conduct is applicable to the

06:28So, actions taken prior to Model Code of Conduct is a prerogative of the concerned government.
06:36But now onwards, the Model Code of Conduct shall be applicable.
06:44With regards to the West Bengal elections to be held in two phases instead of eight phases earlier,
06:52the Commission has held detailed deliberations and in its considered opinion, it was found necessary
07:03to reduce the number of phases and bring it down to an extent where it is convenient for everybody.
07:16With regards to the police officers who were involved in the violence in earlier elections,
07:24the list has been sought off as is known to the media during our visit to the West Bengal,
07:30and necessary action as per law shall be taken.
07:35With regards to the supplementary list, as per the orders of the Honourable Supreme Court,
07:41the learned judges working under the directions of the Honourable High Court of Calcutta
07:48would be bringing out this supplementary list.
07:51And as and when the supplementary list, the names are coming out, they shall be included in addition
07:57to the existing electors.
08:00With regards to some other questions, I would like to make it clear that elections in all these
08:09four states and the Union territory of Kodachary shall be violence-free and inducement-free.
