00:15stable places in the Middle East. But since February 28th, that perception has been shaken.
00:22Following the joint U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran, Tehran launched a series of retaliatory
00:29missile and drone attacks across the region, and the UAE quickly became one of the key targets.
00:35Ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and hundreds of drones were launched toward Emirati territory,
00:41forcing air defenses into constant action. While most of the incoming projectiles were intercepted,
00:48several strikes and falling debris caused significant damage across the UAE, including
00:54Dubai. According to regional reports, Iran launched hundreds of ballistic missiles and
01:00over 900 drones toward the UAE during the first weeks of the conflict. Emirati air defenses intercepted
01:08more than 90 percent of these projectiles. However, even a small number of penetrations,
01:13along with debris from intercepted missiles, caused explosions, fires, and damage in several
01:20high-profile locations. One of the most significant incidents occurred at Dubai International Airport,
01:27one of the world's busiest aviation hubs. Missile debris reportedly struck part of a terminal area,
01:34causing smoke and minor structural damage. Four airport staff were injured, and flights were
01:40temporarily suspended while authorities evacuated passengers and secured the site. The disruption
01:46triggered ripple effects across international air travel. Another dramatic incident occurred in the
01:53heart of Dubai's financial district. A drone strike reportedly hit a building near the Dubai
01:59International Financial Center, sending black smoke rising over the skyline. Witnesses reported hearing
02:06explosions early in the morning as emergency services rushed to contain fires and secure nearby offices.
02:13Iranian sources also claimed that a precision strike targeted American intelligence personnel in the Dubai
02:20Creek Harbor area. While the UAE has not confirmed those claims, explosions and smoke were reported in
02:28nearby areas. The incident raised concerns that strategic locations hosting foreign personnel could become future targets.
02:37Some of Dubai's most iconic luxury locations also experienced damage. Debris from intercepted missiles
02:45reportedly struck areas near the Burj Al Arab, damaging parts of the exterior facade. Meanwhile, explosions and fires
02:53were reported near hotels on Palm Jumeirah, forcing evacuations and emergency responses. Across the broader UAE,
03:01the attacks caused additional disruptions. Ports such as Jagal Ali, along with some oil and gas infrastructure,
03:09experienced minor damage or operational interruptions. Airspace closures and flight cancellations affected
03:15tourism, trade and supply chains. Authorities say six people were killed and more than 130 injured during the early
03:23weeks of the conflict. Despite the limited structural damage compared with the scale of the attacks,
03:29the overbirds sent a powerful message. Dubai, long seen as a global haven for finance, tourism and luxury,
03:38suddenly found itself within range of a regional war. While most of the skyline remains intact,
03:44the attacks have already forced evacuations, disrupted markets and shaken confidence across the Gulf.
