00:00India, Indian story or the Maharashtra story.
00:03Today we are here for the CII,
00:07Confidentation of Indian Industries Annual Summit,
00:10powering India through data centers.
00:12Now, we can see a huge revolution in the digital space,
00:16and AI is taking it ahead,
00:18and in AI, data centers is going to be the new factories,
00:22the new manufacturing hubs or what you call the factories.
00:25And under the honorable leadership of Sri Narendra Modi ji,
00:31India has taken a huge leap in the digital space.
00:36And while India is going ahead, surging ahead,
00:39Maharashtra is leading the digital economy,
00:42especially in the AI center, in the data center,
00:45Maharashtra has huge plans.
00:47Our new industrial and incentive policy 2025
00:52has got a lot of things where we are encouraging
00:55and attracting a lot of AI industries,
01:00especially data centers.
01:01If you see a lot of AI centers,
01:03data centers have come around Mumbai region.
01:07That itself is leading.
01:09In fact, I must say that Maharashtra,
01:11under the dynamic leadership of Devendra Fadnamiji,
01:14has had a lot of initiatives.
01:16We have pitched well in Davos.
01:19We have around 80 MOUs worth 30 lakh crores.
01:22And many leading global powerhouses
01:26in the data center space
01:28have pitched to invest
01:30lakhs of crores in Maharashtra.
01:32So now,
01:3350% data centers are in Maharashtra.
01:40So Maharashtra is leading.
01:41And that's why we have this beautiful,
01:44encouraging,
01:45powering CIA conference in Mumbai,
01:47in Maharashtra.
01:48Sir, you also mentioned about the power structure,
01:51especially needed for the setup of the data center.
01:55What are the challenges that you,
01:57according to you,
01:58the government will face
02:00in setting up the data centers across India?
02:03If we need to have a big powerhouse for data centers,
02:06we need a lot of energy.
02:08And if we need a lot of energy,
02:10of course,
02:11we need renewable energy,
02:12green energy,
02:14maybe wind power,
02:16solar power,
02:17or waves power,
02:20hydro power.
02:21But I think the most important strength
02:24what India has
02:25is we have solar power.
02:27And I think we would lead the world
02:29in the coming future
02:30because of,
02:32thanks to Honorable Prime Minister Modiji's initiative,
02:35in Maharashtra,
02:36we have a huge power setup,
02:38especially in the northern part of Maharashtra,
02:40in Dule district,
02:41where I belong to.
02:43That is the solar powerhouse of India.
02:45So there are,
02:47there are a couple of gigawatts coming in,
02:49thousands of megawatts coming in.
02:51And that solar power is going to be
02:53very important for data centers.
02:55So if we need to run data centers,
02:58we need to run them on green energy,
03:00and green energy can be got through solar,
03:02and solar is where Maharashtra is.
03:04And in Maharashtra,
03:05we have Dule.
03:06So Dule and Maharashtra is the right place.
03:08If we set up solar powers,
03:09we'll be in a better position.
03:11Sir, two quick questions.
03:13One is on AI.
03:14It's like,
03:15how do you see the AI's role
03:17in shaping Maharashtra
03:18and Indian economy
03:19as a whole,
03:21especially when it comes to data centers,
03:23set up,
03:24it's like,
03:26data centers.
03:27AI is playing a very important role.
03:29Now,
03:30maybe in the health care,
03:31maybe in the farming,
03:33AI is going to play a very important role.
03:34So we need to be equipped for that.
03:36And the AI companies,
03:38they would like to be headquartered
03:40in the financial capital of Mumbai.
03:42And for these AI companies,
03:44the data centers should be also around.
03:46So they are looking at Maharashtra.
03:48So we have got a policy
03:50which encourages AI companies to come in,
03:53data centers to come in.
03:55So you need to have policies in place.
03:56At the same,
03:57we have these submarine cables
03:59which from the sea are coming to India.
04:01From all over the world,
04:03under the sea,
04:04these cables are coming to Maharashtra.
04:07And in Maharashtra,
04:08we have the infrastructure.
04:10So that's why it powers
04:11AI and data center
04:13into Mumbai and Maharashtra.
04:15When can we see the data center
04:17and where can we see the data center
04:19in Maharashtra particularly?
04:20I need to know the locations.
04:22So Mumbai, New Mumbai,
04:24Mumbai 3.0
04:25are the regions.
04:26If you see,
04:28Colt is a London-based company.
04:30They have already started
04:31a data center in New Mumbai.
04:33So many data center companies
04:35have started.
04:36Many are in the process of building.
04:38And people like Colt,
04:40there should be around 12.
04:41The exact number,
04:43I won't be able to quote.
04:44But you see last month,
04:46there were many who started,
04:47who planned.
04:48There are a couple of them
04:49who have come.
04:50So Mumbai, Puna, Nasik
04:52is the golden triangle.
04:53How much time
04:54that we can see
04:54the data centers
04:55to be in this life operation?
04:56I think in three years,
04:57we could see a huge...
04:59We would be,
05:00in three years from now,
05:02Maharashtra would be
05:03one of the world leaders
05:04in data centers.
05:05Sir,
05:06this is the last one.
05:07It's like this is related
05:08with the consumption story.
05:10Plus,
05:11it's also a difference
05:11on the outreach department
05:14and apart from that,
05:16the diaspora department too.
05:18Looking at the situations
05:19in the Middle East,
05:21the situations have been escalating
05:23and people are concerned.
05:26What exactly is
05:28Maharashtra government
05:29doing to solve the crisis,
05:31especially related
05:32with the diaspora?
05:33and secondly,
05:35especially related
05:35with the crude oil crisis.
05:37That's almost like
05:38that we can see.
05:39See,
05:40again you hit the nail.
05:41So what I was saying is
05:43we have to find alternates.
05:44These geopolitical systems
05:47and these geopolitical incidents
05:49and these wars
05:50are not in our control.
05:51We cannot do anything.
05:53But we can be well equipped
05:54and well prepared.
05:54So if we have solar,
05:56we don't need other powers.
05:58So we are trying
06:00to be self-sufficient,
06:01Atmanirvara Bharat.
06:02At the same,
06:03we are asking
06:05all our diaspora
06:05around the world.
06:06If you all have
06:07the technology
06:09and the knowledge,
06:11India is the right place
06:12to come back.
06:13And if you see globally,
06:14India is the most secured
06:16and safest place now.
06:18Sir, last question.
06:19Any reason that we,
06:23people should fear
06:24or get concerned
06:25that there is some
06:26lack of cylinders
06:28or lack of oil
06:30in Maharashtra?
06:33We are asking
07:01to be
07:01to try
07:02to
07:02and
07:02that
07:02as well,
07:02when
07:02we are
07:02asking
07:02to
07:02companies,
07:02think
07:02they can
07:10Thank you sir, thank you, thank you.
