00:05Hello!
00:07Thumbs up!
00:08Oh cool!
00:10I love how you quote so many famous movie lines.
00:14What is the movie line that you quote the most in your real life?
00:18I find myself doing Last of the Mohicans line quite a lot.
00:21Do you really?
00:22I will find you!
00:24I do that quite a lot.
00:26I think that speech from Balboa that we used in the film is pretty, it's hard to top that.
00:33Yeah, it's so good.
00:34So good.
00:35And speaking about that, Rocky here, in Barbie you were a mink inspired by his life.
00:42Yes.
00:42Why you two are so connected to each other? What's going on?
00:46What's going on? I don't know. I just was such a, I mean, who wasn't a fan?
00:49Oh my God.
00:50You know, as a kid, but he just was, yeah, such a, he's a great actor.
00:55He's a great actor and he's a trailblazer.
00:58Yeah. Amazing writer.
01:00Amazing writer.
01:02Yeah.
01:03And wouldn't conform. And I think that's like so admirable of those, those guys back then when you're sort of
01:08like, he just sort of refused to be put into a box.
01:12And it's that self-belief that I always loved about him. That documentary was amazing.
01:16Yeah. And after, you know, Rocky could have taken the road of just doing sort of like acting pieces because
01:22he was nominated and all of that.
01:24But instead he chose to make movies for people to love.
01:27Yeah.
01:28And speaking about movies, Jodie thinks a lot about her ending. As an audience, what do you prefer? The happy
01:35ending or this happy ending?
01:37I mean, it's funny. I feel like, I don't know, back in the day, I almost used to be in
01:42this, I was fine with that sort of defiant state of like, no curtain call. I'm fine with it.
01:48You know, and now I'm like, no, like, it's good. Kind of give, I don't think every movie needs to
01:54have a sense of uplift.
01:56I'm not saying that. I think that sometimes it's sort of dependent on the movie and what you need.
02:00But certainly if you're making a movie that is uplifting, like The Fall Guy, you kind of want to see
02:07an ending that is satisfying.
02:09This movie, yes, it's a really fun movie, funny movie. But I think it also speaks about how to get
02:17back on our feet when we make a mistake.
02:19It's not so easy, especially in Hollywood, I think.
02:23Yeah.
02:23How can we do that?
02:26I don't know, but I think it's satisfying to watch movies about characters that go through, you know, extreme trials
02:34and tribulations and still keep going, you know?
02:37I think it's like, can put into perspective your own problems, you know?
02:43And somehow it's just the experience of watching a character just keep going, you know, despite the extremes that they're
02:50facing is like, just like subconsciously, it's a,
02:54it's, um, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's encouraging somehow.
02:59Yeah, I agree.
03:00It's interesting what you're doing with your career, a lot with comedy energy, but are you taking revenge on Refem?
03:08Because he made the...
03:09What?
03:10No!
03:11No!
03:12No, no, it's a joke.
03:14No, no, no.
03:17He's coming for you, Hemsworth's coming for you.
03:19Stop smiling!
03:21No, no, no.
03:23Um, why are you so drawn to movies like this one in this phase of your career?
03:30Um, you know, I think this for me is a sort of dream project that, uh, I don't know that
03:35I would have been able to make earlier in my career.
03:37It's quite a big film.
03:38And in some ways it's, it's a little bit experimental because it's sort of, um, you know, it, it, it
03:45sort of tries to embrace convention and deviate from it at the same time.
03:50And it's, it's, um, you know, it's, it's, it's, it's a, it's a very unique film and, uh, and it's
03:57like my love letter to, to making movies and going to the movies.
04:01And it's just a very special, um, you know, time to, for me to be able to make a film
04:07like this.
04:15Oh, a cartoon?
04:17A cartoon?
04:18Yeah.
04:19Ooh.
04:20I mean, all I remember is the first Disney cartoon I watched, which was The Sword in the Stone.
04:25Oh, yeah.
04:26Do you remember the wolf? How funny that wolf was in it?
04:29Yeah.
04:29Oh, I used to cry with laughter.
04:31I remember that was one of the first, that was one of the first video cassettes my mom and dad
04:35got me.
04:36And I remember that one.
04:37Fox and the Hound really killed me.
04:40Oh, it's so sad.
04:41When he goes, we'll be friends forever, copper.
04:44Oh, and you know it's not true.
04:45And you're like, no, you won't.
04:46Oh, man.
04:47No, you won't.
04:49That is tough.
04:50And speaking about friends, can we say that Barbenheimer is still on?
04:54This is Barbenheimer.
04:55This is Barbenheimer.
04:56Yeah.
04:57The true one.
04:57The true one.
04:58Although, you know, we're a bit nicer to each other in this one.
05:00Yeah.
05:01Thank you so much.
05:02Thank you.
05:03Thank you.
05:03The movie is amazing, by the way.
05:04Thank you.
05:05Thank you.
