00:04This is Peter Jackson and welcome to our cutting room
00:07where we're working on our new movie, The Beatles Get Back.
00:10Now, this film was due to be finished round about now
00:13but like the rest of the world, it's been affected by the Covid pandemic
00:18and the only good thing really is that we're editing the movie in New Zealand
00:23and now that our country has largely stamped out the virus
00:26we're able to come back into the cutting room
00:28and carry on with the editing that we're doing.
00:31So here we are, we've got 56 hours of never-before-seen Beatles footage
00:36and it's really, it's great stuff.
00:39And we're, I would say we're about halfway through the edit now
00:43but because you've been so patient and the film's been delayed until 2021
00:47we thought it was a good time to give you a little sneaky preview
00:52of what we've been working on and the sort of vibe and the energy
00:55that the film's going to have.
00:56So what you're going to see is it's not a trailer
01:00those will be coming out next year
01:01and it's not a sequence from the film
01:03it's like a montage of moments that we've pulled from
01:07throughout the 56 hours of footage that we have
01:09and it just gives you a sense of the spirit of the film that we're making.
01:14So let's have a look at that and hopefully it'll put a smile on your face
01:20in these rather bleak times that we're in at the moment.
