00:00Here we go, ready, and action!
00:04He is such an iconic character.
00:08Something that you don't ever forget.
00:11This doll is able to hold his own in the pantheon of horror.
00:18The idea that Chucky is a smart doll, maybe this movie is foreshadowing.
00:25Everything is in a cloud now.
00:26Even the adults are susceptible to the child's play of it all.
00:31And action!
00:33Chucky. I thought most of it was going to be CGI.
00:36But they had an animatronic doll, six of them, that moved and could make facial expressions and everything.
00:43When I saw the Chucky doll, I was kind of impressed.
00:45How realistic he looks, how he can convey emotion.
00:49Goodnight, Andy.
00:51A big part of getting Chucky right was having animatronics be a lot of the times that we see Chucky.
00:56To see Chucky come alive has been very rewarding.
01:00God!
01:01It's a difficult process to make an animatronic puppet.
01:04To get this beautiful design transferred onto the doll.
01:09The actual Chucky dolls, the internal structure is a series of animatronics that help move all the joints.
01:14It has a plastic exoskeleton we put over top of the animatronics.
01:19The skins are made of foam latex.
01:21The eyes will be replaced with digital movement.
01:24And then we dress his costume over top of that.
01:26We call him our Robo Chucky.
01:27He usually takes three to four full puppeteers completely top and bottom.
01:31His face has all the expressions in it.
01:33Don't forget your little doll!
01:37You've even got interchangeable hands that are just grippy and grabby.
01:42It's an evil robot.
01:45There's nothing creepier than that.
