00:03Accadde 30 anni fa. Watson era andato via e i turisti erano tornati a Baker Street per cercare di vedere
00:09il vero Sherlock Holmes.
00:31Per esempio, Benedict Cumberbatch's brilliant performance seems to make him resonate in a contemporary way and reveal new facets.
00:40And I think that was the thing about Ian. I suspect part of why he wanted to play him was
00:47that the mystery of this movie is Sherlock Holmes.
00:52Who is he? So I think it puts him front and center as the problem. You know, what did make
00:59him tick?
01:02Personally, Ian and I had made a movie Gods and Monsters 17 years ago and we've been looking for something
01:12to do together.
01:13And this is the first thing I've read that seemed like a possibility.
01:16So, once I imagined that, it was impossible to think of anybody else.
01:21Thank God, when I sent it to him, I remember him reading it and calling and saying,
01:26well, that's a part and a half, you know, and we were off, you know.
01:30But I do think it's, you know, Ian's got all those qualities, clearly, that you'd want in a Holmes,
01:39that tremendous, incisive intelligence, wit, and also, underneath all that, this sense of vulnerability.
01:50Tornerà a occuparsi del caso.
01:53Non si abbandona la vita lasciando qualcosa in sospeso.
01:59No.
02:01Don't worry, hi.-
02:02No.
02:06Ascle eight to three are now...
02:07Two but something to think is not possible.
02:07the moment...
02:07Grazie a tutti.
