00:02I just thought it was a really good script, it was a good story and there was lots of opportunities
00:06to sort of put my stamp on it and have some fun with it.
00:15I have to find something in a hurry that's cheap and it ended up being this house that is a
00:20mortuary, or used to be a mortuary downstairs.
00:23And these supernatural events happen because there's some pretty strange stuff happening in the house.
00:36There's this real human drama happening before any of this weird stuff starts happening in the house.
00:42There's still characters you hopefully care about and they're in a pretty horrible situation right from the start and to
00:50me that's really interesting.
00:51They're not just a family that moves into a house and then strange things start happening.
00:57There's already a crisis happening in their lives already.
01:06Virginia is fantastic. She's just so good to work with.
01:11She has so many great ideas and is just so into the movie.
01:18It's been really good and really fun.
01:26Elias just works really hard and is really dedicated to getting the details right and making sure every moment worked
01:34for him.
01:34And I think because it's a little different to other stuff he's been playing.
01:40He likes to play different characters in every movie.
01:43So he's sort of exploring and going to areas that don't necessarily feel totally comfortable for him.
01:50So it's great to just work with him and come up with things and it's been really fun working with
01:58him like that.
01:58And he's just so kind of open and just there which is just fantastic.
02:08I wanted to make a film that was both a human drama and scary film.
02:13And I think that they that's not mutually exclusive.
