00:09It's the DVD people.
00:12Well, I guess another season's gone by.
00:14I should have remembered that we were going to do another DVD for this season.
00:18It's interesting.
00:19Just as you came in, I was reviewing some of my storyboards from the beginning of the season of the
00:24introduction of Speedster, of Daphne.
00:27What a coincidence.
00:29Huh.
00:30Well, anyway, we decided, the writers decided, they wanted to have a new character this season.
00:34And they wanted a character who would play off Hero and Ando and would be involved with Matt.
00:40And so the concept of Speedster came up.
00:43You move fast?
00:46Not fast.
00:48I move real fast.
00:51And they always talked about in terms of this actress, Bria, who they'd seen on Friday Night Lights.
00:57And when we talked about the character and how we were going to develop the character, they kept coming back
01:01to Bria.
01:04How cute was that?
01:06And finally we said, why don't we just cast Bria?
01:09Now we're here with the camera.
01:11How are you doing this?
01:12Okay.
01:13I'm...
01:13And?
01:16How are you doing this?
01:18Shh.
01:18Are you a Speedster, too?
01:20So we had to design a power for Speedster.
01:23We knew that she would move really fast and move in and out of places and take what she wanted
01:28and disappear and she was going to be a thief.
01:31And she would do it almost as fast as the speed of light.
01:37We wanted to then visualize what the result of someone moving that quickly through a confined space was.
01:44We started referencing those high-speed photos of when a jet breaks the sound barrier and how the air piles
01:51up on both sides of the wings and becomes palpable.
01:54We decided that if you could stop her, you would see the wave.
