00:24Destiny was launched with a purpose
00:26a big shiny ship launched
00:28in a very big way with a lot of other ships
00:30There is something out there straight ahead of us
00:32What is it?
00:34Some kind of ship
00:35Definitely not a sea ship
00:37Doesn't look like the aliens we encountered before either
00:42We're friends
00:45So it was definitely
00:46doing something important
00:47and in Season 2
00:49we begin to find out what that is
00:51and more importantly our role in that
00:53and that it's not about
00:55It's not about going home anymore
00:57It's about realizing that maybe we should be the ones
01:00fulfilling this mission

01:02Maybe there's a reason we're here
01:03We need a strong leader right now
01:07I don't like it any more than you do
01:10One of the benefits of doing television
01:12as opposed to a movie or even theater for that
01:14is in those you live in the character
01:16for technically an hour and a half
01:18and that's it
01:19and there's something great about doing
01:2140 hours of living in this person's body
01:23that you start to kind of
01:25fall into that groove
01:27You've had control of this ship
01:29the whole time!
01:30Why wouldn't you tell anyone?
01:32It was actually a scene in the mess hall
01:34that we did last week
01:35where first rehearsal everyone went
01:38and it just clicked right away
01:39You don't have to worry about
01:40Oh were you gonna do that?
01:42Was I gonna do this?
01:43It all just kind of happens naturally
01:44I remember after we cut
01:46Louie looked around and went
01:48Season 2
02:02We sort of got to know the characters a little bit
02:04and when we go we dive into further analysis of their
02:08their psyches
02:09their mental capacities if you will
02:13and all those challenges that would present itself
02:15being in a situation that we're all in
02:18which is essentially trapped on a spaceship
02:20the show's been done for 15 years
02:21but when they said we were gonna go a different direction
02:24then it becomes a different show altogether
02:25which excited me

02:28then they had Robert Carlyle
02:29as an actor and a character actor
02:31I have great respect for him
02:32so those two things initially brought me to the show
02:36Destiny's beginning to understand us
02:39who we are
02:40what makes us tick
02:41but it is capable of analyzing all manner of sensory input
02:44it knows we are here
02:47it's beginning to understand what effect we might be having
02:49It's a good season
