00:03As the war rages on, courageous citizens from every corner of the globe join the good fight.
00:10Meet the Monuments Men, the Allies' special team, assembled to save Europe's great cultural achievements from certain destruction in the
00:17last days of the war.
00:19These men don't look like typical GIs. Monuments Men are not selected for their might, but rather their minds.
00:25These fine citizens traded lives as architects and academics to chase stolen artifacts across the war zones of the Western
00:33Front.
00:34Leading the Monuments Men is top art conservationist, Lieutenant Frank Stokes.
00:39For Stokes and his team, the goals are clear. Save art. Beat the Nazis.
00:44Hitler will stop at nothing to plunder Europe's greatest works of art.
00:48Raphael, Da Vinci, Vermeer, Michelangelo.
00:51Time is running out. These masterpieces, and much, much more, will surely vanish.
