00:10We shot in Taipei and Paris.
00:13Being in Paris is about being in a city where Luke is most comfortable.
00:17But it's an incredibly cinematic city.
00:20And Taipei, I really loved filming in that city.
00:24I just loved being able to explore that city.
00:25And I think in some ways, just the fact that we were all so tired and jet-lagged and out
00:30of our element
00:31really added to kind of the disorientation of the character.
00:35What's in it?
00:36Don't get a paranoid on me, all right? You trust me, don't you?
00:40No!
00:40I always have the desire for this film to start to another place.
00:44And Asia was perfect.
00:45And on the script, I always put Taipei because I went for the fifth element 20 years ago.
00:50And I loved the town, the feeling, the people.
00:53And the funny thing is, at the end, we end up in the hotel that I knew 20 years ago.
00:59In Paris, Luke had this crazy idea of having the car going through the opposite traffic
01:06on the Gré de Rue, which is the heart of Paris.
01:09We filmed at La Sorbonne, the most beautiful university in Paris.
01:15Sorbonne is one of the oldest universities in Paris.
01:18And you have all this great knowledge.
01:21And you stop school very early and make films.
01:24And now I'm making a film about knowledge, and I'm just destroying their knowledge.
01:29And in fact, on the last day, you can't even recognize La Sorbonne.
01:32It's just amazing.
