00:00Apparently, Vladimir Putin has held a phone call with Pazeshkian today.
00:04We do know that's the Iranian president.
00:07But, you know, we're talking about Vladimir Putin right now
00:10and possibly mediating in the Iran war.
00:14But Vladimir Putin's come out and he congratulated the selection
00:18of the new supreme leader in Iran, Mutsaba Khemenei.
00:22He said congratulations to him.
00:25I find it quite interesting when it comes to Russia,
00:27and maybe you can give me more insight into this.
00:30But Russia have lost a lot of allies lately, Venezuela, Syria,
00:36and they didn't come to the rescue to help those countries.
00:39Why isn't Russia helping its allies at the moment?
00:44Well, that's a good question.
00:45And the answer is that Iran is almost as strategically important to the Russians as Ukraine.
00:54I say almost. I think it's equivalent.
00:56I mean, it's Russia's southern belly, so to speak.
01:01All kinds of grief has come through that soft underbelly, okay?
01:06And so the Russians are not going to be sitting aside watching Iran be carved up
01:14or much less obliterated, to use a favorite word, of the president.
01:19So this is very important for the Russians.
01:22Now, as I said, kind of it's ironic, but it's a good thing that Trump, not Trump,
01:30Putin is perspicacious.
01:33He's cautious.
01:34He doesn't want to irritate this very mercurial, this very unpredictable president.
01:41And the Chinese are doing the same thing.
01:43As a matter of fact, I would have thought that Xi Jinping would have canceled the visit of Trump
01:48to go to Beijing just a couple of weeks from now.
01:52They haven't.
01:53They have very, very matter-of-fact.
01:55We deal with everyone.
01:56So as long as they humor Trump, and as long as Trump knows that he needs them real bad right
02:03now, there's a good chance that Putin, acting on behalf of the Iranians mostly, and Xi Jinping
02:12as well, and Trump trying to extricate himself from this impossible situation, will be able
02:19to lean on the Israelis for Trump's part and come to some sort of resolution of this thing
02:25before the whole world falls apart.
