00:03You know, I never actually asked you what you thought of Durandar.
00:07Loved it.
00:08Durandar.
00:10I loved it.
00:11You loved it?
00:11I really, really liked it.
00:13I was genuinely surprised by how much I liked it because I thought that the trailer or teaser
00:19or whatever I saw for the movie kind of misled me.
00:24And so I went into it with some apprehension and then was just blown away because it was
00:30really good.
00:31So I never should have doubted it, really.
00:32You should never doubt Durandar.
00:35Never!
00:36So, what's going on, everybody?
00:37I am Jabby Kuwait, joined by Chara Kirk.
00:39Hello!
00:40We are watching Durandar.
00:43Durandar.
00:44I feel like I run out of breath whenever I try to do the H sounds.
00:47Durandar.
00:48The revenge.
00:50Official trailer.
00:50I can do revenge.
00:51That's easy.
00:52With Ranveer Singh.
00:54And it's Ranveer.
00:55Ranveer.
00:56Yeah, it's not Ranveer.
00:58Ran.
00:59Ranveer.
01:00Veer Ran.
01:00Ranveer Singh.
01:01Veer Ran for the bus.
01:03Written and directed and produced by Aditya Dahar.
01:06And so this comes out in 10 days from, well, maybe 9 days from this recording.

01:18Here we go.
01:24I like the text that they put up there.
01:37Ah, shit.
01:38Oh, that too.
01:41The music as well.
01:44The soundtrack is so good.
01:46The anger and the passion.
01:48Yeah.
01:52I, you know, I really, really want to see this just because of his backstory being explored.
01:57Yeah.
01:58Yeah.
01:59I mean, we had a little glimpse of this at the end of the first movie, right?
02:03Well, yeah, because it was a teaser.
02:05Right.
02:07They're like, we'll just take off his beard and cut his hair and he immediately looks 10 years younger.
02:13Right.
02:15Yeah, we definitely saw some of these clips right at the end of the first film, for sure.
02:19Yeah.
02:20Oh.
02:20Oh.
02:21What did he dodge?
02:22An axe?
02:26He looks like, he looks like Ranveer, circa Apna Time Aiga.
02:42Oh, my God.
02:44That was a little shocking.
02:46It caught me off guard.
02:49All right.
02:50Another banger of a soundtrack.
02:56Oh, my God.
03:04Oh, my God.
03:12Man.
03:14Dang.
03:17They're really, like, stirring those feelings, man.
03:21Oh, look at him.
03:23Oh, my God.
03:24Bae's holding a gun?
03:26Oh.
03:32Baddler.
03:32Keep fighting, keep fighting, keep fighting, keep pushing forward.
03:37Wow.
03:38The way he's walking so calm with that explosion behind him.
03:43It's got me hyped, man.
03:47Goddamn.
03:48Oh, my gosh.
03:49We got, like, dual explosions happening at the same time.
03:53Yeah.
03:56Oh, my God.
03:59So many explosions.
04:02Yeah, for sure.
04:04Dang.
04:06A lot of ramping going on, too.
04:09Oh, my God.
04:15Dang.
04:21Bravo.
04:22This feels even bigger than the first one.
04:24It really does.
04:26That's crazy.
04:30They really...
04:31Oh.
04:33Nice, dude.
04:35Nice, dude.
04:42That, dude.
04:44Wow.
04:45The fake kiss.
04:47Dang.
04:48It really felt like he did the first one, right?
04:52And it was so cool.
04:54And he was literally like, hold on, hold on, guys.
04:58This is just the appetizer.
05:00Chill out.
05:01And then...
05:01Appetizer Iga.
05:03Yes.
05:03Time for appetizer Iga.
05:07Yeah.
05:08But...
05:09Oh, God.
05:09I'm genuinely really, really excited.
05:12And also, just as a trailer, I think this was cut really well.
05:18Because it does a really great job of just, like, amping you up.
05:23I like the style.
05:24I mean, of course, it's also using the style from the movie, right?
05:28And I think Aditya Dar is such a great filmmaker, a great auteur, if you will.
05:37Because, you know, he's written, directed, and produced this.
05:39So, this is really, like, his vision.
05:42I think he just...
05:44He knows what people want to see.
05:48Like, even with Uri, it was such a vibe.
05:51And this one is like, let me show you what a vibe is.
05:55Well, the interesting thing with Uri is how it stirred emotions.
06:01Like, it rouses you because it's like the...
06:04There's an inherent patriotic vibe that it's bringing about in your system, in your soul.
06:10It's like...
06:10But it's also, it's like, how's the Josh?
06:12Hi, sir!
06:14You know?
06:16It's really good.
06:17No, for sure.
06:18I mean, you have two things going on at the same time.
06:20In this trailer, in particular, you have the anger against certain Hindus.
06:25Or Indians.
06:27And then it's met with the rage of said Indian.
06:30Like, the soldier was like, oh, I got your rage right here, bitch.
06:34And I got your anger.
06:36I got your hatred right here.
06:38And then it goes to town.
06:40Yeah.
06:41Messing them about roughhousing and whatnot.
06:43Yeah.
06:43So...
06:44Yeah.
06:44Well, especially having seen the first film, I know what I'm in for.
06:49And I like the character and the story and everything.
06:54So I'm like, cool.
06:55I'm just very excited, like you said, to see more of his backstory.
07:01That was the main driving force for me.
07:03Yeah.
07:03For sure.
07:04Because, like, the thing is, in the first film, he remains largely mysterious over the
07:09course of the three-hour film.
07:10Yeah.
07:10And I really wanted to know him more and know what got him there.
07:14And then no sooner than I'm thinking that, like, they show us that little snippet at the
07:19end of the movie of, like, oh, you want to know more?
07:20Well, this is what's coming.
07:21And it's...
07:22I don't know if...
07:23I can't remember if I said it during the conversation with Brandon or during the trailer reaction.
07:29But it almost kind of gives me this, like, very epic, action-heavy Godfather 2 vibe.
07:35Because Godfather 2 had the sort of past and present at the same time.
07:39Right.
07:40While being a sequel.
07:41So it's sort of like a...
07:42What do you call it?
07:43A prequel and a sequel?
07:44I forgot what they call those.
07:45Where it's both at the same time.
07:48But...
07:48A peaceful.
07:49That sounds wrong.
07:50I think the word I'm thinking of is the wrong word.
07:53Because, like, there's also, like, a requel where it's like a reboot sequel.
07:55Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
07:56And so that's obviously not what this is.
07:58It's a continuation.
07:59But it's just neat when you have a continuation that's doing both at the same time, like a
08:04pincer move.
08:05It's like you're getting where he came from and you're getting where he's going.
08:08Yeah, absolutely.
08:09So it feels inherently different from the first movie.
08:13Because the first film was more linear.
08:16Just, you know, direct.
08:18A to B.
08:20Or A to Z, whatever.
08:21But, like, this is like...
08:22No, we're going kind of back and forth.
08:24So that non-linear flashback sequence.
08:26I'm wondering how that's going to be edited together in an effort to tell the story best.
08:30You know?
08:31I mean, there is a possibility you're going to have...
08:34I don't know.
08:35Depending on, like, how creative he wants to get, he can go full on Nolan, like Dunkirk,
08:38where you've got, like, two action sequences that are in completely different timelines
08:42being edited together.
08:44Yeah.
08:45I mean...
08:45Yeah.
08:46It already looks...
08:47Do you understand what I mean by that?
08:48Yes.
08:48Okay.
08:49Just making sure.
08:49Okay.
08:50It already looks so cool.
08:51Yeah.
08:52And I feel like, you know, looking at this movie and Aditya Dar's body of work and who
09:02is working with him on this movie in terms of, like, which stars have come on to this film.
09:09I just think for any future film that he wants to do, all he has to do is, like, pick
09:17up the
09:17phone and call whoever his top pick is.
09:19And I doubt there's anyone in Bollywood or in India, in any of the film industries in India
09:26who'd be like, nah, I don't want to do your film.
09:28Yeah.
09:28I think he could literally, he could get anyone that he wants.
09:32Like, he's so talented.
09:34Like, the whole package.
09:36Even, like, the soundtrack and everything.
09:39Like, the music is so compelling.
09:43You know, like, you talk about Nolan and Nolan always pairs with Hans Zimmer.
09:49Well, he did, but not anymore.
09:50Yeah.
09:51And the music was such a huge part of the storytelling.
09:54It's like, you've got the same here, but with more of, like, the daisy hip-hop beats, which
09:59are, like, just incredible.
10:02So good.
10:03I'm so excited.
10:04You guys, thanks so much for hanging with us.
10:05Hopefully you enjoyed that.
10:06I am Jabby Koi.
10:07This is...
10:07Achara Kirk.
10:08Peace out.
