00:00We are now ready. I have been working in Lake Enclave Society for a few years.
00:06I have been working in this year and I am a tax payer.
00:13This is a premium society.
00:15This is my dream home.
00:19I have been living in facilities.
00:21But the problem continues.
00:24Working parents have especially problems.
00:26I have been living in the office and I have been living in the house.
00:30And there was a sudden water shortage.
00:32This was a big problem.
00:33The other thing is, I am a tax payer and I am a tax lawyer.
00:36I have got civic details.
00:38But I have got some basic amenities for you.
00:42This was a big problem.
00:44I have got a lot of questions.
00:47I am in the office.
00:52I am working for my job.
00:57I have got no extra tankers and money to pay for tax.
01:01We have too much.
01:05The other thing is, we need to pay tax for our duties.
01:09But no.
01:11I have got no tax fraud.
01:13I have done a lot of tax on this.
01:14The construction of Malaswattho Ghodbandar road has been built in a lot of residential and commercial complexes.
01:20Since I have been living in a village, I have been living in a village.
01:25My name is Mahalakshmi. I stay here in Lake and Flav.
01:31We've been facing a lot of water issues and it's causing a lot of inconvenience to all of us.
01:38It's impacted our daily routine. We have to ration water now, which was not the case earlier in the other
01:47places.
01:48I think like earlier, there was mentioned that there was a lot of constructions happening here.
01:53So we are getting much, much less water than what we should be getting out here.
01:56So I think the municipality has to do something about it.
01:59This is going to cause us a lot of inconvenience, especially when you have elderly people at home and there's
02:04no water.
02:05So it causes a lot of problems.
02:08My name is Rohit Chetty and we have been living here for the last two years.
02:14So the biggest problem in our society is that water is running in a lot of water.
02:20Now, we have taken this flat at 2.5 crores.
02:24And the basic necessities of water is not full of water.
02:29Right?
02:30Now, the total flats in our society is 213.
02:33213.
02:34If we have 90 to 150 liters of water per person, according to the calculation of TMC,
02:40then we should get around 120 to 160,000 liters of water per whole society.
02:45We should get one day.
02:46But what we are getting right now, we are getting only 40 to 50,000 liters of water.
02:50Which is more than 50% short than what it should be.
02:54Which is a big problem.
02:56Right?
02:56Now, to compensate for this shortage, we have to earn at least 3-4 anchor on a daily basis.
03:04Which is around 10,000 rupees per day.
03:07The cost of the whole month is coming up to around 3 lakh rupees.
03:11Now, 3 lakh rupees actually is going into the monthly maintenance.
03:15This is a huge cost that we are paying.
03:17And we are doing this for the last two years.
03:20And this is the major problem that we are having.
03:22Everybody is actually crying about the maintenance cost.
03:25One is, every resident here is paying taxes, is a low-obatic citizen.
03:32And on top of it is also paying high maintenance cost because basic necessity is not being given to us.
03:39So, that is a major problem.
03:41But behind this, there are other aspects in terms of how household, people who are managing the house,
03:48are having a problem to ensure that basic necessities are managed.
03:53So, that is a basic problem.
