00:22Nuclear energy is reliable,
00:26providing electricity all year around the clock.
00:30Europe has been a pioneer in nuclear technology
00:33and could once again lead the world in it.
00:37But after years of declining investment, we need more to turn the tide.
00:42And this is why today we are presenting a new European strategy
00:47for small modular reactors as a commission.
00:51Our goal is very simple.
00:53We want this new technology to be operational in Europe by the early 2030.
