00:12When should I take my child to a developmental and behavioral pediatrician?
00:17The best time to bring your child to a specialist like us is when you have concerns about your child's
00:22development
00:23or if anyone who takes care of your child expresses any concern about how they're doing,
00:28either in their development or in their behaviors.
00:31What kind of problems do you consult with developmental pediatricians?
00:36The most common is really speech delay.
00:39So yung mga bata pong hindi nakakapagsalita or huli na na nagsasalita o kaya bulol magsalita.
00:44But there are still other problems that we see in our clinics.
00:47This would include aggression in children kapag nag-aaway-aaway sila o kaya school problems, nahihirapan sila sa school.
00:54Ano po yung mga halimbawa ng mga kaso or diagnosis that we see?
00:58So kasama na po dito ang autism, ang attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, ang learning disorders, and intellectual disability.
01:07How many developmental behavioral pediatricians are there in the Philippines?
01:12Currently, if I'm not mistaken, there are 97 developmental pediatricians in the country.
01:17But because of the long waitlist, there are other specialists in the child development field where you can bring your
01:22child.
01:23These include child psychologists, developmental psychologists, and child psychiatrists.
01:29What to do if your child has a crush at school?
01:33Having crushes is a normal phenomenon in children.
01:37It's typical. It's neither bad nor good.
01:39The best thing that you can do for your child is just to listen to him or her.
01:42And you know, they listen to what they have to say about the other person or their crushes without any
01:47judgment.
