00:00It feels like a dream as I said yesterday after the game that I was courageous enough to have this
00:09dream saying that I want to win it for my country. I want to contribute in such a way that
00:13it becomes what it is now. So I am very happy and feeling very blessed.
00:20A long struggle. It was a huge struggle. Many times you were in the team but was not there in
00:26the playing season and your people, I mean especially from Kerala, there were several criticism saying that no chance given
00:31for us and finally all this happened. So how are you seeing this journey?
00:37As I said, I am actually trained to look at situations in a positive manner from my childhood days. So
00:44I kind of genuinely feel that all the pain, all the setbacks have made me much stronger and that is
00:51the only reason why I could do what I did.
00:53So I kind of feel that all the pain and all the setbacks and all the disappointments in life and
00:59in career, if used in a positive manner, can be a really great strength in your life. So I think
01:04that is what happened and I am very grateful.
01:06Any message for you?
01:08Yeah, this is one of the biggest messages which I just gave.
01:11Okay.
01:11I think so, yeah.
01:13How is your family?
01:16Family is very happy man. I think we are a bit calm and relaxed and private kind of a family.
01:22So right after winning yesterday, I wanted to come back home and straight away came to where my parents are
01:30living.
01:30So both of them are very happy and very thankful to them actually, very thankful to my parents, my father
01:39and mother.
01:40They were someone who introduced cricket in my life.
01:43I think they are the reason why I started playing. They are the reason why I am who I am.
01:48So very grateful for both of them and also very grateful for the whole community all over the world.
01:56I think all the support, all the messages, all the prayers which I constantly keep getting.
02:00I think we all know how powerful prayers are and when genuine people pray for you, I think it can't
02:07go wasted.
02:08So I am very happy that I was able to. I think right after the New Zealand series, I was
02:14a bit negative.
02:16I think it's very okay to admit that if you are not, you are 100%. I think I kind of
02:23feel that I admit that I am not okay.
02:25So I had my circle very close. I had my wife travelling throughout the World Cup with me right from
02:31day one.
02:32And I knew that I was not going to be a part of the World Cup team. So I asked
02:36her to be with me because I was not at my best self.
02:39So she really supported me, really backed me and really kept me in a really great frame of mind.
02:46That is very important. I think the frame of mind is definitely relatable with the people whom we are surrounded
02:53with.
02:53I think when my wife was with me, I am always a bit joyful, always a bit positive, always laughing,
02:59smiling.
03:00So she kept me happy and when I am happy and when I got the opportunity, I was doing what
03:04I could do.
03:05So very grateful for my parents, for my wife, my friends and all the supporters. Thank you so much.
03:12Thank you. Thank you guys. Thanks for waiting. Thank you.
