Transcript
00:00I'm John James. I'm the new town clerk for Campbelltown Council. My background is local
00:04government. I've worked in local government for over 25 years, primarily working for actually
00:08sort of larger organisations. I'm Cornish born and bred. I lived in the locality for most of my
00:14career. I wanted to come back home after working for six years in Bristol. The opportunity for the
00:21town clerk with Campbelltown Council came up just at the perfect time for me. I've lived within this
00:27area most of my actual sort of life. My family comes from this area and I thought it was a
00:31good
00:31opportunity for me to come back and actually sort of give something back to the community. Campbell's
00:36got a lot of things happening at the moment. There's a lot of there's the town deal projects
00:39happening. There's a lot of opportunities and I'm hoping actually sort of I can actually sort of add
00:45to the actual sort of Campbelltown over the years but whilst I'm working here. I think there's
00:50opportunities going to happen with the Campbelltown. I've already mentioned the actual town deal
00:54projects. There's actually sort of nearly 20 million pounds worth of investment happening in
00:58actually sort of Campbelltown. There's actually the old Wemble site which is actually going to provide
01:02a huge community benefit. I see Campbelltown having great economic benefits actually over the next
01:08five years. So I think it's really now the time for Campbelltown to actually sort of take advantage of
01:13this. I'm hoping in the next five years time we'll actually sort of see you know the economy sort of
01:19really booming. We'll see great community cohesion. We'll see a lot of prosperity actually in Campbelltown.
