00:03So a brilliant drill to help you with distance control especially on those longer putts if
00:08you're somebody who tends to hit the ball to get it to get to the flag on long putts this
00:12will be brilliant for you. You don't want to hit the ball if you're working out that a little putt
00:16is going to be a little hit and a big putt is going to be a big hit it's very
00:19hard to control
00:20how much hit to give it. Much easier to do length of stroke so for that I tend to use
00:26this ladder
00:26drill it also gives you a fantastic idea of the pace of greens if you're visiting different courses
00:30so the first one I'm going to do is just going to be a very small tick tock so almost
00:36like a metronome
00:37in my head I've got this one two rhythm tick tock I'm not going to look to see where my
00:42balls go
00:43so that I'm not influenced as to how hard to give it some so keeping the same tempo the first
00:48putt
00:48is very small tick tock the next putt slightly bigger tick tock the next putt slightly bigger
01:00and the next part is your bigger one
01:05and what you should end up with is a nice fairly even Stevens ladder all the way up the green
01:11what
01:11you would then do is you then remind yourself of the length of stroke that you took and you worked
01:16your way back to your target that you started next to and that should really help with your distance control
01:48so
01:49you
