00:09:26This is one dynamic duel and a dangerous team.
00:09:29And one of the most versatile tandems in the NBA is hole again with the return of Jason Tatum.
00:09:34You saw him on Friday night.
00:09:36In his first game back, the production wasn't necessarily a typical Jason Tatum night.
00:09:42But for me, it was more about the type of plays that led to the production.
00:09:46Playing through traffic, getting to the rim.
00:09:48You know the deep shooting is always going to be a big part of what the Celtics do and what
00:09:52Tatum provides to this team.
00:09:54Really impressed with his defensive rebounding in traffic.
00:09:57Showing you that there's no hesitance to go down there and mix it up.
00:10:00And a tremendous return, an emotional night.
00:10:03Even got a hug from his head coach.
00:10:05And now you see the numbers that both of these guys put up on Friday.

00:13:37I spoke to Jason Tatum on Friday after that emotional return of nearly 300 days of being out
00:13:44because of that Achilles tear.
00:13:45He played with no minutes restriction and started that contest.
00:13:4927 minutes is what he tallied.
00:13:51He told me about the surreal moment that it was for him on Friday night in Boston
00:13:55after going through some dark moments where he told us that he woke up crying at times
00:14:01along his journey to recovery.
00:14:03So this is the first one now that's behind him.
00:14:06And now it's on to building off of it.
00:14:08Head coach Joe Mazzula told us that the guys are all excited to move forward with Jason Tatum.
00:14:12And he feels both physically and emotionally pretty good heading into game two of the season.
00:14:18He'll continue without a minute's restriction.
00:14:20But the team will certainly keep a close eye on him, Mike.

00:14:24Meanwhile, Cavs head coach Kenny Atkinson said it was phenomenal to see Tatum return.

00:15:52but Donovan Mitchell is one of the more natural scorers this league has seen.
00:15:56From the moment he came in, he's been able to dominate teams from the offensive end,
00:16:00but his responsibilities had increased as more of a playmaker.
00:16:03Adding James Harden means that, hey, you can playmake,
00:16:06but we want you to be a dominant scorer, and that's what he does best.
00:16:10Harden has made a huge different legs,
00:16:12but so do his couple of guards coming off the bench.
00:16:15And Schroeder and Ellis, they've really shored up their team for a playoff run.
00:16:18Well, the depth and the quality that you have at the guard position now,
00:16:22and also what you're able to do defensively with two guards on your bench
00:16:26that can come in and turn a game with their ability to pressure the ball
00:16:29and pick up 94 feet.
00:16:31Kenny Atkinson now has a lot of different buttons to push
00:16:34that he did not have a year ago.
