00:03In a world chasing extraordinary achievements, a 58-year-old woman from Bhubaneswar chose
00:11something simple, wool and a crochet hook. But with patience, creativity and relentless
00:18dedication, Anshu Malini turned this simple craft into a global achievement, entering the Guinness
00:25world records six times. Over the years, she has created thousands of handmade pieces,
00:33scarves, shawls, ornaments and sculptures, transforming a traditional craft into a global
00:39feat. Her record journey began in 2017 when she crocheted a remarkable 14.9-kilometer-long muffler,
00:49earning her first Guinness record. In 2018, she created 58-917 crochet sculptures, securing her
00:59second record. In 2019, she added another milestone with 66-158 Christmas ornaments made from wool.
01:09The achievements continued 4,686 caps and heart-shaped items in 2022 and 2,719 shawls and ponchos in 2023.
01:23Most recently, in 2024, Anshu achieved her sixth Guinness world record. Originally from Orisa,
01:30Anshu earlier worked for nearly two decades with All India Radio. Today, she spends 10-12 hours every day
01:39crocheting with full support from her family. Earlier, people knew me by my family name. Now,
01:46many people call me Guinness Malini. Her creations go beyond art, from shawls and toys to figure of Lord
01:54Jagannath, Balbhadra and Subhadra. She also donates woolen caps to shoulders and warm clothes to children
02:02and cancer patients. Age should never stop anyone from creating something meaningful.
02:08Even small efforts can grow into something extraordinary. With six world records already
02:14and bigger goals ahead, Anshu Malini continues proving that even a single crochet hook can weave
02:21a legacy remembered across the world.
