Gabriela, a theater student and cheerleader for a basketball team begins a job at a carwash in order to help out her family - her father has just died and she is the eldest of her siblings. The carwash is owned by a famous businessman, Tony Clemente, who will meet Gabriela and have a short but passionate affair with her. Gabriela, however, is falsely accused of drug trafficking and ends up in jail, with a 15-year sentence. Tony abandons her due to her bad luck, choosing to ignore the fact that she is expecting his child. In jail, Gabriela plots her escape, something she pulls off after having served seven years behind bars. Only one objective drives her existence: revenge against the man who ruined her life, Tony Clemente. To achieve her purpose, she changes her name and her physical appearance and manages to reintroduce herself into the life of Tony, making him fall in love with her all over again.

00:01Andrew, who was that yelling?
00:04Who?
00:05They're calling you.
00:07Andrew! Come out here!
00:10What is it, Gabrielle?
00:12You were right, Andrew.
00:14Isn't that what you want to hear?
00:16You were right, and I wouldn't listen.
00:18I'll be down in a minute.
00:20Don't bother, because you know you were right all along.
00:24When you saw what a big mistake I was making,
00:27everyone agreed with you, Andrew.
00:29Well, I guess you were all right, huh?
00:31I'm here, so I guess that proves it.
00:38At least I have one thing to thank Tony Clemente for.
00:53Ashford, get out here! Get out here now, you coward!
00:56What are you doing?
00:57Don't move me! I'm going to kill him! I want to see him, please!
00:59Leave me that time! Let's move me!
01:00Come out here and face me!
01:02No! No!
01:03You both know what to do.
01:06I will pay you personally
01:08within 24 hours of the completion of the job.
01:12It has to be handled tonight.
01:22Please have a seat, Gabrielle.
01:24It's really late. Have you called your mother yet?
01:29I... I'm not ready to go home yet, Andrew.
01:32Well, that may well be.
01:34Well, that may well be.
01:34She's really worried.
01:35At least give her a call.
01:38In the meantime, I'll go find her some food.
01:41There's a restaurant near here.
01:44Do you have a taste for anything?
01:45No, I guess not.
01:49Will you give your mom a call?
01:52I'll be back in a few minutes.
01:55Andrew.
01:55Andrew.
01:55What?
02:05I'm here for you.
02:07Uh-huh.
02:35Hello, Julia?
02:38Put Mom on.
02:41I'm fine. Is Mom there?
02:44Give it here.
02:45Gabrielle, where are you?
02:47Listen, Mom.
02:50I'm over at Andrew's house.
02:53Don't worry about me.
02:55Get out of there and come home right now.
02:57I can't right now.
03:01I've got a lot of things to think about before I can come home again.
03:05Gabrielle, I want you home right now.
03:08No, Mom. I really can't just yet.
03:12I've got to be alone right now.
03:14I need to clear my head.
03:16Well, if you need to be alone, you don't come back in this house.
03:20Because if you can't live according to the rules of this house,
03:23then you don't have to live here.
03:26Mama?
03:38Hello?
03:41Tony?
03:44No.
03:45No, Layla's not here.
03:47No, we're still waiting for her.
03:50And Margaret says she doesn't know where she is either.
03:56A business trip?
03:58Tonight?
04:01Yes, yes.
04:03Got it.
04:04Tell Layla to meet you at the airport.
04:06Yes.
04:07Absolutely, Tony.
04:08Yes.
04:10No, don't worry about a thing.
04:13Tony wants to take a business trip with Layla.
04:16And so?
04:16I don't know.
04:18I don't know.
04:19I don't know.
04:19Tony just sounded so strange to me.
04:25Hello?
04:25Layla?
04:27Layla?
04:28Listen, my dear.
04:30What?
04:30No, no, no, no.
04:31Tony's at the office.
04:32But he left you a message.
04:33Yes.
04:34Oh, my dear.
04:35Something very serious must be going on.
04:38What Tony said is that you're supposed to meet him at the airport.
04:53Who is it?
04:54Is Andrew home?
05:01He's gone out for a little while.
05:02Can we wait?
05:02We're here from the airport security office.
05:06I don't know.
05:07It's all right, miss.
05:08We'll wait outside.
05:21Mister?
05:22Miss?
05:32Dikideous
05:46There.
05:47You see?
05:48Everything will be quick and easy.
05:51The blonde girl's inside.
05:53Everything's working.
05:54Well, uh...
05:55What's the next move?
05:56We wait a few minutes.
05:58When the pilot comes back, we just follow him upstairs, huh?
06:02All right.
06:10Why would Tony have called me on such short notice?
06:13I think something's going on. He was very, very nervous.
06:16Here you are, ma'am. I've packed your suitcase.
06:18Thank you, Blanche.
06:20Did he say what it's about?
06:21No, no, no. He didn't give any details,
06:23except that he needed you quickly at the airport.
06:25When Mr. Clemente called,
06:27he instructed me to get you to the airport
06:28as quickly as possible, Mrs. Clemente.
06:31Oh, all right. Thanks, Mama.
06:33Be careful. Thanks. Thanks, Blanche.
06:37I always worry about her, Blanche. Always.
06:40Why don't you look at her side for once, Mom?
06:42Because I don't have to.
06:44Because it's time she took some responsibility.
06:46Totally self-centered.
06:47That's what your sister is. Totally selfish.
06:50She doesn't care.
06:51We're only talking about one day, Mom.
06:53She needs to be alone.
06:54If that's what she wants, then that's what she'll get.
06:57I don't need her.
07:00I mean, she's a grown-up.
07:03What is she?
07:04An adult.
07:06We don't need each other.
07:10Dear Tony,
07:13I don't know how else to tell you.
07:16This letter is to say goodbye.
07:20Although I have no regrets for what we did.

08:02and cost nothing.

15:07i also seem to remember it was a fellow named amaya who signed the complaint against her
15:15immediately rescinded the complaint without a word of explanation
15:18the whole thing is very strange there's something missing
15:24some piece of the puzzle and when i find it everything else will fall into place
15:32did you search have you collected any evidence no not yet commander we were busy arranging for the
15:37ambulance let's get to it but there's a catch yes obviously david likes the girl what do we do

17:17well yes but why tony's got a video player in his office have you seen it of course i have
17:26well it seems somebody shot it are you serious very serious i was pretty curious so when i asked

17:40and he says it went off when tony was cleaning it tony cleaning the gun if it's true what was
17:47tony
17:47doing with a gun in his office
17:51we'll simply have to wait on tony who knows by tomorrow we may have some sort of communication
17:56from him and then we'll find out everything we need to know but if we don't hear from him it's
18:00time to
18:20it's all over

19:12that wasn't ordered by the person i represent that idea was mine
19:19you know what we don't really care the less we know about it the better
19:25hmm look we did the job for you we called the police like you asked no mistakes

19:54i thought you said that this was all done
19:57that's the blonde i was talking about so who was up in that apartment
20:06how is gabrielle swanson she's just gone to surgery
20:28we've got to remove that clot to relieve the pressure
20:30Well, I hope she's not too far going.
20:46Gabrielle, come here. Your mother is waiting for us.
21:23You must wake up, Gabrielle. Wake up and live.
21:28Live to give me a grandchild.
21:34I can't, Mama. I'm too tired.
21:38I can't live anymore. I can't.
21:57Nurse, excuse me, please. I need some information on the status of Gabrielle Swanson. I've got to tell her family
22:04something.
22:04I'm really very sorry, Officer Randall, but there's no information to give. She's in surgery, and it's very serious.
22:13What about the man brought in with her?
22:16Andrew Payne. He's in a deep coma. He suffered a severe head trauma, and I'm afraid his chances are not
22:22good.
22:22Isn't there anything you could tell me? Anything I can do?
22:25Contact the girl's family, and the young man's as well. We really need to get some information from them.
22:31Yes, I see. Thanks.
22:32You're welcome.
22:35Your hunch was right, Commander.
22:37What have you got, Ned?
22:39Here's at least 15 years of hard time.
22:48You know something, Panino? My only son died thanks to this stuff.
22:56The girl really didn't seem the type.
22:59I went to her house with David, and I'd swear to you there was absolutely no sign of drugs.
23:05Believe me, you'd be very surprised, Panino.
23:09What happened here is simple.
23:12This is a fight between gangs.
23:14I would venture to say the pilot stole some money.
23:18Well, the girl stole it, and the other gang came in to teach them a lesson.
23:22Look, Commander, when you went to get some coffee, I called a check.
23:28The pilot's a goner, and they're only giving the girl about two hours.
23:34It's really sad.
23:38You know what this stuff really is?
23:41You know what this stuff is to me?
23:44My son died from this stuff.
23:48He was strong, and intelligent, and immortal.
23:53And yet he died.
23:59But look, there's something that's bothering me.
24:02An emptiness in the puzzle, a beast, is missing.
24:07It's missing, it's missing.
24:09There's this emptiness, and there's the name of this man, Tony Clemente.
24:17He's involved, I know it.
24:22This young girl was arrested, pressed charges.
24:26The fellow I told you about, Amaya, drops the charge like nothing was wrong.
24:31This man, Tony Clemente, pulls some big strings.
24:34All he has to do is talk to Amaya, and bang, the girl's out free.
24:39Charges dropped, the girl was freed.
24:42And this guy?
24:44Now, what's the deal with this Tony Clemente?
24:50Exactly what does he have to do with the puzzle?
24:54As well as this.
25:05Hi, what's going on?
25:07Ah, my dear. What did you say?
25:09Is breakfast ready?
25:10You want breakfast?
25:12Yeah, sure.
25:13If you got breakfast, you just eat it.
25:16I could save some for later.
25:18Ah, you're a banker.
25:20You've chosen a good career so young.
25:22Now, listen.
25:24You know, I have a son of my own.
25:28But I don't know what work he does, or even where he lives, so...
25:32You really have a son, too?
25:36He's a very busy man.
25:38I know he travels all over the place.
25:42All sorts of foreign countries.
25:44I'm lucky if I even get one postcard a year.
25:47How long till I see Layla?
25:52Pretty soon, my dear.
25:53That's how business people are.
25:55They're always coming pretty soon.
25:57Remember what she said.
25:59You stay here and take care of the house.
26:02How long?
26:03Well, remember when we had all those papers?
26:05You know, you were helping us so much.
26:07I like to.
26:10Oh, Joey, my daughter.
26:11My daughter has a wonderful gift.
26:14She always tells the truth.
26:17She said, as long as you're here, you're the owner of the swimming pool.
26:22Oh, isn't that great?
26:23Come here.
26:26Come here.
26:27Owner of the swimming pool.
26:29That's pretty good for a man of your age.
26:39There is no excuse for your stupidity.
26:41This shouldn't have happened.
26:42It never would have occurred if you were half as good as you were supposed to be.
26:46I did what you told me.
26:47A tall woman.
26:48Blonde.
26:49Thin.
26:49What do you want?
26:50And the pilot was there with her.
26:52You said a tall, blonde, thin woman, huh?
26:55And if we made a mistake, there's no way you could say it was our fault.
26:59Who the devil is that woman?
27:00I don't know.
27:01But if she comes out of that hospital, she's going to jail for ten years.
27:10Mom, I'm going over to Andrews.
27:12No.
27:12You're going to stay put.
27:14You're supposed to study.
27:15You're studying medicine.
27:16And you can't miss your class.
27:17Mom, she's my sister.
27:18I'm sorry about that.
27:20If she thinks she can treat us this way and not suffer for it, then she better think twice about
27:25it.
27:26But, Mom, you told me yourself how badly she was suffering last night.
27:29Well, she'll have to learn to take it like a big girl.
27:32Really?
27:34You mean you're not mad she won't marry Andrew?
27:36As if he were the only man in the world?
27:39Gabrielle doesn't love him.
27:41She never has.
27:42And then why is that such a bother to you?
27:45It's... it's not.
27:47Just a minute.
27:49What's wrong?
27:51Whenever I mention Andrews name, you get... weird.
27:55What?
27:56What's going on?
27:57What do you mean?
27:57Uh, I'll get it.
28:06Gabrielle's not here.
28:07Your mother?
28:07In the kitchen.
28:09What's up, Julia?
28:10Who is it?
28:12Mrs. Swanson?
28:13Could you come here for a minute?
28:19Yes.
28:19What do you want?
28:21You need to come with me, Mrs. Swanson.
28:24Gabrielle's had an accident.
28:27Gabrielle's in the hospital.
28:30Oh, Gabrielle.
28:38Oh, my God.
28:40She's in emergency surgery now.
28:42The doctors won't know anything for a few hours at least.
28:45Please hurry.
28:47The person who was with her is in a coma.
28:50Who?
28:51Andrew.
28:52Andrew?
29:00It's true.
29:03Well, you can't tell now.
29:07He's still in grave danger.
29:11It's my fault.
29:14It's my fault.
29:16Gabrielle, baby.
29:18Why did it happen?
29:20What was it that happened?
29:22Oh.
29:34Nothing yet.
29:36The doctors don't dare operate until she's more stable.
29:41Tell me exactly what happened.
29:43I got a disturbance call.
29:46It was about 3 a.m. when I got there and I saw them lying on the floor.
29:51It was obviously violent.
29:53An assault.
29:55Yeah, I don't know.
29:57Maybe it was an intended robbery.
29:59Who knows?
30:00What happened?
30:03When I got there, it was like I said.
30:07The door was locked, so I had to break it in.
30:10And there they were.
30:12Both of them.
30:15My partners, they're investigating.
30:18And the commander.
30:19They're being very thorough.
30:21If there's any evidence,
30:24they'll find it.
30:26We'll track down the people responsible for this.
30:29I swear, we'll arrest them.
30:34She's going to die.
30:36No, Mom.
30:38She'll die, won't she?
30:40Where is she?
30:41I can't do anything.
30:43Where's my sister?
30:44Where's Andrew?
30:47There. You see it?
30:49Yeah.
30:57BP's dropping.
30:58We gotta move fast.
31:05Tommy.
31:07Tommy.
31:08Tommy.
31:09Tommy.
31:10Where are you?
31:12Tommy.
31:15Ah, no.
31:16I already told you I can't.
31:18Not until somebody else takes over.
31:21Yeah, sure.
31:22That may be them now.
31:23Okay, ciao.
31:35Uh...
31:36Hello.
31:37Hello.
31:38Is Andrew here?
31:40Maybe.
31:46Did Andrew go out?
31:47Who wants to know?
31:49Excuse me, where's Andrew?
31:52Give me your name.
31:54Look, if there's some kind of trouble, I...
31:56Just a minute, just a minute.
31:57Save it, because I'm asking the questions, you know?
32:00What's your name?
32:03Amanda.
32:04Amanda.
32:05Amanda Herrlings.
32:06Why are you here?
32:08I came to visit my friend.
32:10This place belongs to Andrew.
32:13He's a friend of mine.
32:15But what's going on?
32:16Why are the police here?
32:17Mr. Payne had an accident.
32:19A very serious accident.
32:23What?
32:26Where is he?
32:27The hospital.
32:29For the last time, I'll ask you again.
32:32Why are you here?
32:34And what do you know about what happened?
32:42Miss, can you come with me, please?
32:44I'm really deeply sorry, but there's a lot of information we don't have.
32:48If you can help, we'd really appreciate it.
32:54Now, now, now.
32:56We just have to wait.
32:58Be patient.
32:59Where has Guy gone?
33:02He's got to be here.
33:06Please, any information you can give will be helpful.
33:09What do the doctor say?
33:11How bad is she?
33:13Please, I need to know.
33:15Will she live or not?
33:19I'm in pre-med now, and I'll understand you.
33:22I sympathize.
33:23But the truth is, we just don't know.
33:26Damage is extensive and severe.
33:28The one thing we do know is that there's been a cerebral hemorrhage.
33:31The pressure's building, and surgery is needed immediately.
33:37I see.
33:38Everything will come out all right.
33:40She's in very good hands, and we're all doing our best to help her get better, okay?
33:47Also, if you could tell us anything at all about the young man who-
33:51Andrew.
33:51Do you know how to contact his family?
33:54Because we need to find them.
33:56That young man is dying.
33:58Oh, no!
33:59My God, no!
34:00It's all right.
34:01It's all right.
34:02Are you a relative?
34:05No.
34:06He's my friend.
34:07Oh, I'm sorry.
34:08I didn't know.
34:15This is his mother, Mariana, and his sister, Nellie.
34:20Okay.
34:21Do you want to see him?
34:23Because he's in intensive care, I can't arrange for a moment or two.
34:27Yes, absolutely, yes.
34:29Okay, come with me.
34:33Why?
34:35Well, yes, sir.
34:38Of course I know Andrew.
34:40Since he is Tony Clemente's private pilot, and I'm a friend of Mr. Clemente.
34:46I came over because I thought he might be flying somewhere.
34:52He's always flying into Miami and New York, and so I-
34:56Well, I-I wanted him to get me a little something.
35:00Ah.
35:02And what was it you wanted him to pick up?
35:06Uh, perfume.
35:08I've asked him various times, and various times he's bought it.
35:17And many times I've flown with- with Mr. Clemente and Andrew.
35:23And-and you can ask at the airport, because everyone knows who I am.
35:26We'll wait here.
35:28We'll wait until the commander returns.
35:30Well, listen, you just-
35:31Wait, wait, wait, wait a minute.
35:32I'm not going to do anything to you.
35:35I'm simply asking you if you can wait here for the commander.
35:38And he'll figure out what we can do then, hmm?
35:42Well, first tell me what happened to Andrew.
35:45Just a minute or two, okay?
35:49Yes.
35:58My love.
36:10I'm here with you.
36:12I'm here.
36:16Julia.
36:20Julia.
36:20Julia.
36:25I don't know if you can hear.
36:30This is what they taught me.
36:32I don't know if it's true.
36:37I hope it is.
36:42You are here.
36:47You are.
36:48And I am here, too.
36:51I love.
37:00I-I could never say that before.
37:07But-but you are.
37:13I love.
37:39Live, my love.
37:44Live.
37:53Good morning.
37:55Commander.
37:57You.
37:58I'm sorry about this.
38:01I'm sorry you're involved in this problem.
38:03Commander, this is Mrs. Swanson.
38:06Yes, yes, I know the lady.
38:10David, I'd like a few minutes to discuss this investigation.
38:13Go ahead and talk.
38:14Please let me know what's happened.
38:18Mrs. Swanson, we know your daughter's in surgery.
38:20That's really all we know.
38:22Now, if you have no objection, I'd like to speak with Dave about work.
38:28Commander, really.
38:29I'd like to stay with you.
38:30About work.
38:31Please tell me.
38:32Do you think the best doctors are here?
38:35Is this the best hospital?
38:37Is this the best place to treat my daughter?
38:39Yes, of course.
38:40This was where we could get the quickest help.
38:42It was closest.
38:43We didn't have time to go anywhere else.
38:45But are the best doctors here?
38:48Because I-I know how to get the best doctors for my baby.
38:52A doctor who can really help.
38:55Who-who-who will know what to do for my Gabrielle.
38:59Whatever I can do, Mrs. Swanson, you know I'm here.
39:02And whatever is necessary, I'm gonna do it.
39:05No.
39:07It's in my hands.
39:09I know what I have to do.
39:13Where's the telephone?
39:16I'll call Tony Clemente.
39:17I'll call Tony Clemente.
39:47MIMMarie.
39:47Do you have the address Creed Philila?
39:47This, Simon.
39:48Yes, please ask me if you take a question.
