00:00But why is this club, great club, not able to get over the line and have sustained success?
00:06I would say money. Maybe they don't pay as much as United.
00:12You'll probably look at the wage bill, it's lower and I think there's a reason for that.
00:16You can attract good players and I always say now, you buy a £50 million player, it's not
00:20what it used to be. You have to be spending 80, 90, 100 now just to get a good player.
00:28So maybe it's just the money and the wages, you're not attracting that bigger player who
00:34can do a job here and now. And also they always seem to buy young and hoping they're going to
00:39grow
00:39into something bigger, which has worked in the past, for example, with me and a few other players, but
00:45they're an established club now, they have the stadium, they have the training ground, they have
00:48the fan base. It's like they need to be buying bigger players, maybe paying a bit more.
00:53But it's amazing they're reluctant to go the extra bit for their wages. I know the extra bit is still
00:57a lot of money. They've got an amazing stadium, a business point of view, fantastic, but they
01:02won't go that extra bit. It's maybe that bit of a gamble that you maybe need to take that they,
01:07from a business point, they're maybe not willing to do. I don't obviously know how they're doing
01:11financially. But yeah, it seems to be that for me, that's probably the biggest issue. They just don't
01:16sign the proven player. Whereas I know Man Utd haven't been doing great, but at least they're trying to sign
01:21the
01:22player that's the finished article or close to. And it just seems to be a bit like that.
