IND vs ENG: 'This is a World Cup' - Sunil Gavaskar bashes Wankhede Public Announcer, points out Mistake. What Happened at Wankhede Stadium? In the 11th over of the match, Jasprit Bumrah came to bowl. After the India pacer was hit for a boundary in the second ball and bowled a wide, the public announcer at the Wankhede Stadium kept on encouraging the crowd and asked them to cheer 'Boom, Boom, Bumrah'. As the crowd reverberated with the tune, Sunil Gavaskar was quick to point out the gross mistake in disturbing the atmosphere with loud noises. Although cheering the crowd in between the overs is common in IPL, a World Cup requires a different approach and a lot more neutral act from the announcer.
