00:00In the new government, in the Taliban government, there was some hope that maybe, you know, the women's rights record
00:04will be better.
00:05But as soon as they came, the first thing that they do, nothing about youth employment, nothing about the food
00:10insecurity, ban women from school, ban women from working.
00:14That was expected, wasn't it? That's what they also did in the first Taliban regime, 96 to 2001.
00:22And that's the reason the world didn't quite like it when the Western forces, the U.S. forces just handed
00:31over Afghanistan to Taliban 2021.
00:33They are demanding change on the side of the aggressor, the exploiter.
00:39The change has to come somewhere else. The victim will have to stand up.
00:43Otherwise, if there is no demonstration or assertion of free will, then I might as well say I am justified
00:51in imposing my will and my laws upon this thing.
00:55We knew this was going to happen. There was ample evidence beforehand just that between 2001 and 21, there was
01:04actual, visible, substantial improvement in the lot of women.
01:07And all that has come to a knot. And in fact, it's not just back to square one, it's actually
01:15back to the primitive cave.
