Foreign minister Penny Wong has confirmed another three Australia-bound flights are scheduled to depart the UAE later today. The government estimates more than 100 thousand Australians are currently in the middle east, although not all of them are trying to come home.

00:19it unsafe for these flights or for people to fly, then these flights won't go ahead,
00:24describing it as a highly unpredictable conflict zone. Now, this comes after we saw those emotional
00:31scenes at Sydney Airport last night with people embracing their loved ones who had returned from
00:39Dubai on an Emirates flight. That was the first flight that was able to bring Australians home
00:45since this conflict broke out over the weekend. The Foreign Minister, Penny Wong, says that she was
00:51on the edge of her seat while waiting for that flight to depart, but that she was very moved
00:57to see those Australians returned home. She hopes that we can see more of those scenes over coming
01:02days. Here's what she had to say.
