00:00¿Did Netanyahu flee Israel for Berlin?
00:07Since the coordinated Israeli and U.S. attack on Iran began on the 28th of February,
00:12a wave of disinformation has spread rapidly across social media.
00:16Flight tracking data from the same day showed an Israeli government aircraft landing at Berlin-Bradenburg airport.
00:22A reporter from the German news agency DPA confirmed that the plane was parked on the runway.
00:27Soon after, Post Online claimed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was on board
00:32and had fled the country as coordinated U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran began.
00:36Most of the allegations are based on data from Flightradar.
00:39The data shows that the Israeli government plane, a Boeing 767,
00:43took off from Beersheba in southern Israel early in the afternoon.
00:47The aircraft then circled over the Mediterranean for several hours
00:51before landing in Berlin later that evening.
00:53As for why the aircraft landed in Berlin,
00:56a spokesperson for the German Federal Foreign Office said
00:59Israel had requested permission to park the plane at the airport,
01:03a request Germany approved.
01:05He added that only the flight crew was present when the plane arrived in Berlin.
01:09Since the 2nd of March, Netanyahu's office has released several statements showing him in Tel Aviv,
01:14such as this video in which he is seen speaking from the roof of the Kyria military base,
01:18or this photo showing him attending a security meeting with the Israeli Defense Forces Chief of Staff
01:24and the head of the Mossad.
01:25Nevertheless, an Iranian military spokesperson said that the missiles had successfully hit Netanyahu's office
01:31and the home of Air Force Chief Tomer Bar in what was described as a surprise attack.
01:36However, no rocket strikes were reported in Jerusalem that day,
01:40and the Israeli Prime Minister's office dismissed the Iranian claim as fake news.
01:48Thank you.
