08:08For me, my first introduction is basically the OG Predator. Someone told me I do the Predator click in my
08:16sleep sometimes, which I told Dan. It was part of maybe why I got the part.

08:21Yeah, I was like, and so then I'm like, oh, Predator. I'm like, what's that? I've seen, I had seen
08:27that, you know, the Predator before, but I hadn't watched the films. I mean, this is when I was like
08:32a teenager. So I then, I watched the OG and I'm like, wow.
08:38Like, this is pretty badass. I love that one. And then I was kind of reintroduced with Prey that Dan
08:46did. I watched it like everyone else during lockdown and was very impressed and taken by the heart of that
08:53film. Yeah.
08:54Yeah, I'm kind of similar. So my initial introduction to the franchise was with the OG Predator with Arnold. My
09:04dad is a huge fan of Arnold Schwarzenegger. So yeah, anything he was in was always just playing on TV.
09:09So yeah, I was quite young when I first watched it. I was terrified. I hated the Predator. I was
09:16so scared. But yeah, watched like a few clips of the second one as I was getting older and then
09:21watched Prey when it came out as well during lockdown.
09:25And then obviously when I got the role in this, I had to just do a movie marathon and watch
09:30every single one and yeah, read up in the comics and it made me a genuine fan like of the,
09:35of the character and just of the franchise in general, you know, it's such a loved, um, it's such a
09:41loved franchise, you know, by so many.
09:43And it's such an honor to be able to step into the Predator's shoes and yeah, bring it to the
09:49world in a, in a whole different light, a different story. Um, yeah, it's, it's really exciting.
10:04I know it's when, you know, when you read the script, it's like, it's also the kind of this buddy
10:08comedy and it really, it matters about the dynamic and the relationship between the two characters.
10:14I think, I mean, for us, we hit it off pretty much right away. I have to say you also,
10:21there's no time. Like you have to like, we got to get close because we're getting strapped back to back.
10:26And it's like, we, you got to be in it or not in it.
10:30You got to commit. And so we really did. And when you're in those situations with someone else, you know,
10:36feeling the pain or the uncomfortableness or whatever it may be, um, in these kind of odd situations that no
10:43one else,
10:43would find themselves in you, you get close pretty fast, I have to say, which, which we did. And, and
10:50then from like an acting standpoint, you know, Demetrius, you're speaking Yautja, I'm speaking English.
10:55And so, but you also have to find that nice rhythm, um, with the dialogue and the cadence and to
11:01make sure the jokes hit.
11:02And so that was complex as well. I mean, we would run lines a lot.
11:06Yeah, we were running lines. Um, it was, I think as well, cause it was a difficult kind of shoot
11:12to get through, you know, like shooting on location and comes with its challenges and being in our harnesses and,
11:18you know, being strapped up together.
11:20It's, it's not the most comfortable, um, place to be, but I think because of how difficult it was, it
11:26forced us to kind of trust each other and, you know, lean on each other a little bit, you know,
11:31make sure that both of us felt supported.
11:34Um, that in itself, I guess, was, yeah, building that rapport and chemistry between us because, yeah, you kind of
11:41get close when it's hard, you know, you, you rally together.
11:44And not only just us extending to the whole crew, you know, everybody was getting behind each other. And, um,
11:50I think Dan really, yeah, he's the mastermind behind the culture on set, I guess, you know, and, um, driving
11:57the vision home for everyone.
11:58Everyone was invested in the story and, and wanted it to do well and were giving it their all. So,
12:04yeah, kind of staying positive during those hard times. It's, um, yeah, I think it just, you're bound to get
12:11close from that. So, yeah.
12:29He's amazing, man. He's, um, yeah, he's, I think what I love about Dan is, like, he's a fan of,
12:37like, the universe. You know, he's a proper fan.
12:39I remember my first meeting with him and he just had a whole run sheet of, like, I wasn't even
12:45talking about the film, to be honest.
12:47It was just talking about the whole world building, you know, and the, the knowledge that he had and how
12:52passionately he was talking about it.
12:54You know, it wasn't just, like, running through it. Like, oh yeah, this is this and this is that. You
12:58gotta watch this movie. Like, he was excited, you know, to be sharing these things with me and you could
13:04see it and feel it and it was something that was contagious.
13:07You know, he was making me excited. I was like, oh man, I can't wait to go home, do my
13:10homework, you know, and watch up on all of these previous predators and, you know, try and build this character.
13:16He, he was injecting that kind of energy into me. So, um, yeah, his, his ability to bring people along
13:24and have everybody work towards a common goal, you know, it's, um, yeah, it's commendable.
13:30It's commendable. You know, not a lot of directors, I feel, have that kind of ability. So, um, yeah, man,
13:35I love that. He's awesome.
13:37I mean, yeah, me too. Dan is just, he's so passionate, like you were saying, and he is very special
13:44because he, you know, loves the epic, he can shoot a fight sequence, like, beautifully, and the violence and the
13:51action, but then also he has this heart and he's so great with actors and kind of bringing emotions out
13:58of you and really cares about that side of things as well.
14:00Um, and you can, I think in this film, it's just, it's a lot of genres mixed together, which is
14:05a hard tightrope to walk and he just pulls it off so beautifully. Um, and he's a brilliant director. Yeah.
