00:00We have breaking news right now. Three people are dead and 14 are wounded after a mass shooting at a
00:06bar in Austin, Texas. According to local authorities, it happened around 3 Eastern Time at a place called Buford's Bar.
00:14The suspect was shot by police, and of those hurt, three are in critical condition.
00:20Calls for a male shooting at Buford's Bar on West 6th Street. Officers immediately transitioned, came over East 6 to
00:31West 6th Street, and were faced with the individual with a gun, and three of our officers returned fire, killing
00:39the suspect.
00:40We received the call at 1.59 a.m., and within 57 seconds, the first paramedics and officers were on
00:46scene, actively treating the patients. We had a total of 17 patients on the scene. Fourteen of those were transported
00:52to the hospital. Three were pronounced dead on scene. Of the 14 patients who were transported to the hospital, three
00:58were in critical condition.
