00:52is natural here on God's Heart TV I have a word of encouragement to share with you today
01:00that was inspired by a recent conversation I had with someone on the phone the the lady was
01:08requesting counsel and prayer about some circumstances in her life and she mentioned
01:14specifically there was a situation in her health you know some internal pain that she requested
01:21prayer for I said of course there's nothing impossible with God let's pray together in
01:26Jesus mighty name there's no sickness he cannot heal but before prayer I asked her madam have you gone
01:34to to a doctor to know medically what's the cause of this what's going on and she paused at that
01:43moment and then she said to me well the truth is I I don't want to go to any doctor
01:51because I'm afraid
01:52they will give me bad news so as a Christian I don't want to even hear anything that will disturb

02:01faith that will disrupt my spirits and that led me to a reflection I want to share with you today
02:12people
02:12of God because if bad news can shipwreck your faith it's a sign that you are on the wrong boats
02:23I want to
02:25talk about some reflections in the light of that conversation let me state at the beginning that
02:32this message is not addressing you know the issue of Christians going to receive medical attention or
02:38medical help there's nothing wrong with that as a Christian so far as you do so from a place of
02:46trust
02:47trust in God not to replace trust in God take notes of that after all a diagnosis discloses a condition

03:00does not define your position what you face is not who you are that your health is a mess does
03:14not mean your
03:15life is a mess so we should not judge our Christian lives on the basis of our circumstances or the
03:25situation we are going through but here's the key points I want to emphasize to you in the lights of
03:31that conversation as Christians we are to move in and be motivated by faith not fear faith is not
03:48closing your ears to bad news it is opening your hearts to good news Psalm 112 verse 7 faith

04:28people of God I will use this description faith is a lens it's not a blindfold it's not positioning yourself
04:42in a way to avoid bad news it's positioning God's word as the filter through which you view everything else
04:53whatever life brings to you
04:55it's not blocking your vision it's locking in on what really counts what truly matters what holds eternal value the
05:12truth God's opinion God's word the good news so no matter the situation even if there is seemingly
05:24bad news in the natural as a Christian the good news is this your challenge is not a crisis I
05:38repeat people of God your challenge is not a crisis your challenge in fact is a stepping stone to your
05:47destiny to your future it's not a stumbling block this is good news
05:52that's that's whatever your situation looks like in the natural that suggests it is bad God in his sovereignty can
06:02work all things together for your good Romans 8 verse 28 Genesis 50 verse 20 that is good news so
06:13as a child of God if what seems bad means good
06:21why is it conceived why is it conceived as a crisis the real crisis the real crisis is not what
06:31happens to you it's what happens in you if your challenge takes you away from God that's a crisis if
06:44your challenge misleads you to a sinful response that's a crisis if your challenge
06:50your challenge causes you to look for alternatives outside of Christ that's is the real crisis the real crisis the
07:01people of God if you see what you are facing as a crisis you will likely handle it in a
07:15way whereby it actually becomes a crisis that's a crisis that
07:20crisis if you perceive it as a crisis it will likely leave you in a crisis rather than you
07:30leaving it with a lesson with a blessing with a promotion
07:36why because you will likely be overwhelmed by it and so desperate to get out of it
07:45that you will take actions in the face of it that compromise your faith
07:53rather than hearing what God is saying to you through it recognizing what God is
08:02teaching you through it because people of God think about this God
08:14can allow the devil to touch you in order to teach you remember Job remember
08:26Apostle Paul my grace is sufficient for you but if God's design is to prepare you
08:41through it the sign is that he will prepare you for it it takes the eyes of
08:50faith to recognize divine preparation even before the noise of your situation so
09:02people of God what I am encouraging you today is this faith does not deny the
09:15existence of challenges no but those challenges do not dilutes the persistence of faith faith is not blind optimism or
09:37wishful thinking it's not foolishly pretending these problems don't exist
09:43no it's facing them without falling into fear with a heart steadied by the truth that whatever God permits you
09:52to face he equips you to face so faith is taking the best course of action with the right states
10:00of hearts no matter the present sets of circumstances remember as a Christian you can't control how you handle situation
10:12situations you cannot control take this as an encouragement people of God your challenge is not a crisis
10:22sadly today some people try to isolate themselves because of the fear of facing these uncertainties of
10:37life facing these challenges or the fear of making a mistake in responding to them having a wrong response and
10:48your comfort zone is a place of
10:53camouflage the seeming safety nets of comforts and convenience are stopping you from
11:02stepping out and acting faith in the presence but people of God know this you will never know how you
11:11react to a situation unless you face it until you face it so fear of the unknown is robbing you
11:22of the opportunity to grow
11:30your reaction is a window into the states of your heart those tests of faith reveal how far you have
11:40grown and where you still need to grow
11:45what I'm saying to you people of God is very simply this it's not about avoiding challenges it's not about
11:55inviting challenges it's about staying spiritually alert so that when challenges come you do not view them as a crisis
12:09take notes people of God the presence of faith does not necessarily mean the absence of fear but the voice
12:22of fear the noise of fear must never drown out the voice of truth
12:33faith though your fears suggest there are overwhelming reasons to be troubled your faith testifies there are greater reasons not
12:45to be why because in the midst of life's uncertainties there is one thing you can be certain of
12:59faith
13:00know what is fear it's the manifestation of the conviction
13:13that God is not truly in control
13:18may God bless his word in our hearts
