01:56the regime has armed, trained, and funded terrorist militias
02:00that have soaked the earth with blood and guts.
02:05And it was Iran's proxy, Hamas,
02:08that launched the monstrous October 7th attacks on Israel,
02:13slaughtering more than 1,000 innocent people,
02:16including 46 Americans,
02:18while taking 12 of our citizens hostage.
02:21It was brutal.
02:23Something like the world has never seen before.
02:27Iran is the world's number one state sponsor of terror,
02:31and just recently killed tens of thousands of its own citizens on the street as they protested.
02:38It has always been the policy of the United States,
02:41in particular, my administration,
02:44that this terrorist regime can never have a nuclear weapon.
02:48And I'll say it again, they can never have a nuclear weapon.
02:53That is why, in Operation Midnight Hammer last June,
02:58we obliterated the regime's nuclear program at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.
03:06After that attack, we warned them never to resume their malicious pursuit of nuclear weapons.
03:13And we sought repeatedly to make a deal.
03:17We tried.
03:18They wanted to do it.
03:20They didn't want to do it.
03:21Again, they wanted to do it.
03:23They didn't want to do it.
03:24They didn't know what was happening.
03:25They just wanted to practice evil.
03:28But Iran refused, just as it has for decades and decades.
03:34They rejected every opportunity to renounce their nuclear ambitions.
03:39And we can't take it anymore.
03:42Instead, they attempted to rebuild their nuclear program
03:46and to continue developing long-range missiles
03:50that can now threaten our very good friends and allies in Europe,
03:55our troops stationed overseas,
03:57and could soon reach the American homeland.
04:01Just imagine how emboldened this regime would be
04:05if they ever had and actually were armed with nuclear weapons
04:09as a means to deliver their message.
04:13For these reasons, the United States military
04:16has undertaken a massive and ongoing operation
04:19to prevent this very wicked, radical dictatorship
04:23from threatening America
04:25and our core national security interests.
04:29We are going to destroy their missiles
04:31and raise their missile industry to the ground.
04:34It will be totally, again, obliterated.
04:39We are going to annihilate their navy.
04:41We are going to ensure that the region's terrorist proxies
04:45can no longer destabilize the region or the world
04:48and attack our forces
04:50and no longer use their IEDs or roadside bombs,
04:55as they are sometimes called to so gravely wound and kill
04:59thousands and thousands of people,
05:02including many Americans.
05:04And we will ensure that Iran does not obtain a nuclear weapon.
05:09It's a very simple message.
05:12They will never have a nuclear weapon.
05:15This regime will soon learn that no one should challenge
05:19the strength and might of the United States Armed Forces.
05:23I built and rebuilt our military in my first administration,
05:28and there is no military on Earth
05:30even close to its power, strength, or sophistication.
05:35My administration has taken every possible step
05:38to minimize the risk to U.S. personnel in the region.
05:42Even so, and I do not make this statement lightly,
05:46the Iranian regime seeks to kill.
05:50The lives of courageous American heroes may be lost,
05:54and we may have casualties.
05:56That often happens in war.
05:58But we're doing this not for now.
06:01We're doing this for the future.
06:02And it is a noble mission.
06:05We pray for every service member
06:07as they selflessly risk their lives
06:10to ensure that Americans and our children
06:12will never be threatened by a nuclear-armed Iran.
06:16We ask God to protect all of our heroes in harm's way,
06:20and we trust that, with his help,
06:23the men and women of the armed forces will prevail.
06:27We have the greatest in the world, and they will prevail.
06:30To the members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard,
06:34the armed forces, and all of the police,
06:37I say tonight that you must lay down your weapons
06:41and have complete immunity,
06:43or, in the alternative, face certain death.
06:47So, lay down your arms.
06:50You will be treated fairly with total immunity,
06:53or you will face certain death.
06:57Finally, to the great, proud people of Iran,
07:00I say tonight that the hour of your freedom is at hand.
07:04Stay sheltered. Don't leave your home.
07:06It's very dangerous outside.
07:09Bombs will be dropping everywhere.
07:11When we are finished, take over your government.
07:13It will be yours to take.
07:15This will be, probably, your only chance for generations.
07:21For many years, you have asked for America's help,
07:24but you never got it.
07:25No president was willing to do what I am willing to do tonight.
07:30Now you have a president who is giving you what you want.
07:33So let's see how you respond.
07:36America is backing you with overwhelming strength and devastating force.
07:41Now is the time to seize control of your destiny
07:44and to unleash the prosperous and glorious future
07:48that is close within your reach.
07:50This is the moment for action.
07:53Do not let it pass.
