00:07Film has always been an incredibly strong medium for portraying truth from the very beginning.
00:15I mean, it's been something that you use to show something's real essence, and when we were first
00:24talking about Light of Love, Dan was telling me about how he wanted to really capture these
00:31sisters as the women that they were, as he wanted to try and understand why they wanted
00:38to give their lives to God, to other people, to leave behind everything that they have
00:45and everything that they knew to give their lives to something greater than themselves.
00:49And I thought that was an incredibly interesting idea.
00:53A great documentary starts with a great question, and Dan's question was, you know, why would
00:57these women be willing to give themselves completely to something, and how could they give themselves
01:04completely to something?
01:05I think that's an incredibly interesting question and universal question.
01:11When we were asked to be involved with the Imagine Sisters movie Light of Love and were
01:16told what it was about, it was something that we were more than excited to jump on board
01:20with.
01:21The idea of nuns, women, young women, dedicating themselves to something that is far greater
01:30than themselves and jumping into their faith 100%, completely devoting themselves to a life
01:37of prayer and service.
01:40And challenging people to truly live something that is greater than themselves, it goes along
01:48with our philosophy of a higher standard, a higher moral standard, and being messengers
01:53of the infinite.
01:54So, we were very excited to be able to help get this movie into schools, into churches,
02:01into colleges, and possibly into film festivals, where people who don't know anything about
02:07sisters might get an inside look.
02:11And the idea that this movie is going out there, sponsored by so many people, but it's going
02:17out there for free, is such an amazing thing, and I think it's going to be such an amazing
02:22story told and an amazing resource for people.
02:26People have often asked me, why make a film?
02:28Why make a film about religious life?
02:31And working with this team, this incredible team that we've put together, I think it's become
02:35very apparent that a film is one of the best ways to really encounter something, to be
02:41challenged by something, and what better thing to be challenged by than sisters?
02:45These shining examples, these people that have dedicated their lives, is something for
02:51all of us to reflect on, but also to ask that question, am I called to do this, am I
02:56called
02:56to be that person, and if I'm not, what can I learn from these stories and these experiences?
03:02And so, as we celebrate our first anniversary of being Imagine Sisters, the movement, I'm
03:08so proud, so excited to be able to work on this film, to be able to make this a reality,
03:13this dream that we've had ever since day one, to make a film like Fishers of Men for
03:18women, but to make it something exciting, to make it something challenging, it's just
03:23a really good feeling to know that we're going to be filming in about a month, going out on
03:27the road and meeting these people, and even talking to the team, we've reflected
03:31about how much we expect our lives to change by meeting these women, and so we can't wait
03:36to show you this film, we can't wait to get this to your church, to your school, to film
03:41festivals even, to get it out there, so we can show the world what light of love means,
03:46to meet these sisters, to understand them, and to be inspired by their example.
03:51I willney, if you please birthday for those days, if we hold them anywhere.
