00:12I remember so clearly the moment I learned about climate change sitting in
00:20the classroom when my teacher wrote out the words on the blackboard carbon
00:24emissions are being trapped it's warming our planet sea levels are rising which
00:29means islands would be gone within your generation he said
00:35they are the cyclone in my need I met you for another we've already lost
00:41islands and now we're about to lose more because of the climate crisis no one wants
00:46to walk out the house because they feel like someone might be dead the Marshall
00:53Islands contributes 0.0007% of the world's global emissions we're here facing the harshest challenges
01:02from climate change the hand that feeds this crisis is the fossil fuel industry in 2018 we got some
01:10steps that 89% of greenhouse gas emissions are being produced by the fossil fuel industry as I started
01:17understanding climate change I realized that the very same thing that had nourished my family for
01:22generations of the ocean could now potentially destroy us the forests are trying their best the
01:30ocean is trying the best humans really should be trying their best too this is our warrior cry to
01:37the world we are not drowning we are fighting on this voyage across the forgotten Pacific we will meet my
01:44fellow warriors who are leading the fight the fight to adapt rebuild grow and save our islands
