00:23is, Embaha is an all-terrain vehicle, like a single-seater all-terrain vehicle competition

00:30where students will design their own vehicle, which is called as buggy here.

00:38And I belong to B.V. Raju Institute of Technology, which comes under Sri Vishnu Education Society.

00:44So, we have been very much forefront in encouraging competitions as such, which gives practical

00:53exposure to the students' community, because that's what they will gain, not only the practical

01:00things of internal combustion engine, in this case of Embaha, but most importantly, they

01:06will also gain the leadership skills, the sales pitch that they do.

01:10Because this goes through, throughout a 10-month round.

01:15So, this competition starts 10 months ago and today is the culminating point that we have

01:20inaugurated it and the next three days, they will go through the technical inspection of

01:26that buggy that the student team has made.

01:29Each team comprises of up to 30 students and this year we have 51 teams across India participating

01:37in this particular competition.

01:39Having said this, I would long so like to quote that, as I said, there are other formats

01:46of SA India which runs for, for example, Electric Baha or Autonomous Baha or Hydrogen Baha and

01:53so on.

01:55Our student participates in all the formats.

01:58The four colleges which comes under SVS, we participate actively in that.

02:02And the most important thing is here, this competition after going through the what you call strong technical inspection, if

02:15is found safe, then only we send it to the endurance race or what we call for a four hours

02:22race which will happen on first of March at the track where they have to test the endurance

02:28for three kilometers.

04:24solutions for convenience of each and every customer of Bharat Petroleum.

04:30And coming to our association with eBaha, so we have 19 years association, the vision of

04:37Baha and the intention of Bharat Petroleum both conglomerates very well and both wanted to

04:45ignite the young minds to give the best solutions for the mobility in India.

04:49So, I really thank eBaha for this innovative solution and great competition what they are

04:58conducting.

04:59This year 51 teams, it is a great number sir and you could able to mobilise 51 teams to participate

05:07in this.

05:08It is really a great platform to create innovation in the young minds, not only innovation,

05:15the very, very essential model of quality of any engineer's team work.

05:22So, to build one vehicle, how many engineers have to work together?

05:28together the vision of the entire team has to be the vision of each and every individual

05:35of that team.

05:37So, how to, that increases the management qualities of the team members and how they can gel with

05:45each other and how they can bring the best output for their team.

05:50that all going to be a great learning for these all young minds.

05:56And not only that, this is going to give a great momentum for Indian automobile industry

06:02and which already they are doing.

06:05Many of the eBaha competitive participants got placed in many automobile industries that I came

06:12to know and I really appreciate this all students who are participating in this and wish all

06:20the students very, very, very best.

06:23And not only winning the participation, the journey of 10 months is really a great journey

06:56I am here to discuss about the diversity part of Baha.

07:00Since we all know that Baha is a India has started in India from 2007.

07:05It initially started from M Baha edition and later on we moved to E Baha and as technology

07:12emerged in India, we then started A Baha and also H Baha.

07:17I mean the autonomous and hydrogen Bahas.

07:19Then as in this platform the students they have equipped next generation automotive skills,

07:25leadership, experience and real world problem solving capabilities.

07:29And in this a key pillar role plays is diversity.

07:33As we all know that in automotive sector women plays a major role and coming to Indian government

07:42norms also we I mean Indian government they set some particular percentage that women should

07:49play a major role.

07:50So in Baha also we make sure that not only we even the colleges who participate especially

07:56Sri Vishnu educational society also.

07:59They also enter encourage the women students to participate in Baha events.

08:04And in this year we have almost 35% diversity in 2026 event.

08:12And also in terms of count you can say 3400 male students and 790 female student participants

08:20have taken part resulting in 19% female participation ratio up from 18% in 2024.

08:27So we are also proud that even we have two girls overall team girl teams in this year reflecting

08:35the growing confidence and leadership of women in engineering.

08:39Women participants are actively contributing over design, manufacturing strategy, testing

08:46and leadership helping reshape the traditionally male dominated automotive space.

08:53So as we continue to grow our commitment remains firm not only to engineer better vehicles but

09:00to build a more inclusive, empowered and future ready generation of Indian engineers.

09:05What we fully became in Baha stand up?

18:38I have been with this event and with Baha for the last 19 years.

18:44Since its inception, we started off very, very small with just 27 teams in 2007.

18:50But today we have over 350 to 400 teams participating in this event.

18:58And we are very, very proud that over the last 19 years, we have taken almost a lakh and 30

19:04,000 students through this event.

19:06And most of these students are today very well placed in the Indian automobile and auxiliary sector.

19:14And our request to all of you from the media here is that you should promote this event more and

19:21more so that the local teams from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are given a window to participate in this event.

19:28And through that, they can be provided with better employability and better skills in terms of whatever engineering subjects that

19:37they are on.
