00:30There's a lot of good stuff in store today.
00:31So Teresa, let's take it away.
00:33Yeah, thank you.
00:34Alright, so Pokémon Pocopia is a one to four player cozy life simulation game.
00:43It has two components that we're going to touch in our little segment today.
00:48So we're going to start with the single player area.
00:51So this is where everybody will start with at the beginning of the game.
00:54And as you can see right now, the world is pretty barren.
00:58It's kind of dry.
01:00There's some greenery.
01:01And that's because we've already played a little bit and advanced into the story.
01:08Yeah.
01:08But the story starts off where you show up in this area or this world, which is pretty desolate.
01:15It used to be populated with Pokémon and humans, but they've all disappeared.
01:22And so as you're rebuilding this world, the Pokémon will start showing up.
01:27So as you can see, Charmander is here.
01:31Bulbasaur is here.
01:32And Squirtle is around.
01:34In the background.
01:35Hiding behind that tree.
01:36Don't be shameful.
01:38Oh, you're all munchies.
01:39You're all munchies.
01:40You're all munchies.
01:40Don't you?
01:42And as you start the story, the first Pokémon that you'll encounter is Professor Tangrowth.
01:47They are essential and a guiding star to the player because they will give you tips and instruction, not instruction,
01:58but more like guidance on whether you're lost, you don't know what to do next, or if you have a
02:04question about a certain something.
02:06So super helpful.
02:08Yeah, they're very, very helpful.
02:11And as you start through the story, too, you'll also be customizing your Ditto character.
02:16So we'll go through the menu of what that looks like.
02:20But as you can see, I try to customize my character as close to me as possible.
02:25It looks very adorable.
02:25Very similar.
02:27I will celebrate that.
02:29Yeah.
02:32So let's go through some of what Ditto can do.
02:35So because I have at least the three Pokémon here, two of them were able to give me two abilities
02:44that I'm able to transform and use.
02:46So Water Gun and Leafage.
02:49So why don't we show how that works?
02:50So with Water Gun, you can see that it has a cross pattern here.
02:54So it means that anything within that cross pattern will get watered.
02:59And I love how when you do that, you see Squirtle's shell kind of pop up on your back because
03:02you're transforming a little bit into Squirtle when you use that ability.
03:05Yeah.
03:06Yeah.
03:06So that specific ability or move I was able to learn through Squirtle.
03:11And I created a habitat that I didn't know before.
03:15So these are made with four different flowers that are connected together.
03:18And you can see also that there's six Pokémon that can appear in this habitat.
03:25So you'll also see that there are some certain conditions.
03:28So, for example, this one has time and that this one also has time as well, which is nighttime.
03:34So that means this game does support real time clock.
03:39So whatever is set in your system that will mirror within the game itself.
03:42So if it's nighttime where you're at, then it's going to be nighttime in the game.
03:47And that means that you'll have a chance to encounter this specific Pokémon within this habitat that you have created.
03:53If the habitat's already inhabited by another Pokémon, that won't count.
03:58You'll have to create a new one.
03:59So it's always going to create multiple.
04:01Correct.
04:02What's great, too, is that you don't have to create the same habitat over and over again.
04:05There are different ones you can create.
04:06So different things like grass, flowers, trees, any combination of the above.
04:11And other things as well.
04:13Yeah, it's definitely fun to experiment and find out kind of what you can make.
04:16So, for example, here you've created a shaded grass, tree-shaded grass habitat.
04:21And that'll actually have a different set of Pokémon show up than the one that we just created.
04:25Yep.
04:25So it's always fun to see who shows up at which habitat.
04:30Yeah, I find it when I was playing this that I created multiples always.
04:35Found a new one?
04:36Great.
04:37Let me see if I can create three more.
04:40All right.
04:41And I saw that you used the leafage, too, which is great.
04:43It's a great move to build habitats and do other things.
04:46I did.
04:47Now, as you're using these abilities, too, you're using that blue bar, which is PowerPoints or PP,
04:52which, by the way, you're running a little low on, so you might want to eat a berry.
04:55Yeah.
04:55So in order to replenish PowerPoints or PP, as Lindsay had mentioned,
05:01all of Ditto's moves will use up PowerPoints as you use them.
05:05So you want to eat food in order to replenish.
05:08So we happen to have some berries on this tree.
05:11So I'll go ahead and pick them up.
05:14And then I'm going to open up the inventory.
05:16And you can see in this inventory there's that kind of purple overlay that looks like it has arms.
05:22So that happens to be Ditto.
05:24All the inventory is house inside of Ditto, which is really funny.
05:29They're a transformed Pokémon, after all.
05:31So we're going to eat some food.
05:33And as you can see, that blue bar is replenished.
05:37This game has so many of those little details that just are so much fun to find, too.
05:41Uh-huh. For sure.
05:42Definitely. Like Kevin said as well, yeah.
05:45And since we're here, let's talk about another activity that you can do, which is crafting.
05:53So crafting is done through the workbench, which we have one placed here.
05:58But you will be able to craft more, so then you can place them around the world.
06:02And you can see right now that we have pretty limited amount of items that we can create.
06:07But they can be sorted through categories.
06:11You can favorite a specific item to craft.
06:15And then you can just go to your favorites tab.
06:18You can sort them in different ways.
06:21And then towards the right, let's just say that I want to craft this campfire.
06:26On the right side, you'll see underneath the label, there's nothing in your inventory.
06:32And it has a relaxation kind of category, which we'll talk about a little bit later.
06:38And then also the items that you need in order to craft it.
06:42So owned, which is how many I have in my inventory, and needed.
06:46And then my favorite is that as long as you have enough items to craft it, you can create multiples.
06:53Not once. Super handy.
06:54You have a lot of sturdy sticks.
06:57And the items you craft can also be used to make habitats.
07:01So it's not just limited to, like, the patches of grass and trees.
07:06It's also stuff that you make.
07:07Correct.
07:08Oh, looks like you've got a visitor there.
07:09Something rustling.
07:10Let's inspect it.
07:13Who could it be?
07:16All right.
07:17Scyther.
07:18Hey, Scyther.
07:19One of my favorites.
07:24So Pokemon Pocopia, if you've never played a Pokemon game in the series before, and don't really know much about
07:32Pokemon, this is a great entry way, or entry into the franchise.
07:37The game will go through, as you befriend more Pokemon, they'll give you little, kind of, entries, like this one
07:45here, that will describe, you know, what the Pokemon is, what type they are, the habitats that they like, time
07:52and weather.
07:53So we had talked about how time is tied to the real time clock of the system. Weather is specifically
07:59within the game, not in the real world. So this kind of shows up randomly throughout the game. But it
08:06will be a factor in terms of how you encounter certain Pokemon as well.
08:10And the last but not least, Specialties, Ideal Habitat and Favorites, which we'll talk about here in a little bit.
08:19I've got to open this up to see. Oh!
08:23And as you play through the game, these little different things that you keep doing, you'll keep getting rewarded, which
08:28is so satisfying in this game.
08:30And we happened to get a recipe for a storage box.
08:34Which is really great and very handy.
08:36It'll come in handy later, for sure.
08:39So Scyther had, like, a little bit of a request for us here.
08:43That's right.
08:44So I kind of rushed through it really quickly, but we might encounter another one here later.
08:49But whenever Pokemon have, like, a permanent kind of bubble over their heads, you definitely want to prioritize those,
08:56because that can potentially not only progress through the story, but also give you something that you might need that
09:02you don't currently have in order to progress.
09:04Or even to create something.
09:08So for here, Scyther's going to teach Cut.
09:16It's a very, very handy move.
09:22Alright.
09:27Okay.
09:28Now let's test Teresa's luck here in a minute.
09:34What luck?
09:35What are you talking about?
09:37What are you talking about?
09:38I know you're going to have to use Cut to get some items here.
09:42I'm just curious to see.
09:43Yeah.
09:44So Cut is very useful in terms of not only breaking through things to get material, like Dee is alluding
09:53to.
09:53I want to...
09:56Yeah, look at the greenery!
09:58So as you're rebuilding this world, you'll see the Pokemon kind of react to what you're creating.
10:06So yeah, even though I've created this grass environment, I actually want to cut this grass because this is a
10:12way that I'm able to get certain materials.
10:15So here's the leaf.
10:16I showed about picking each item one at a time, but Ditto is also able to pick up multiple items
10:25at once by inhaling.
10:27So if I hold the Y button, I'm able to actually suck everything.
10:32Which if you're like me and you like to collect all the things, it comes in really, really handy.
10:36I use that move on pizza all the time.
10:39So we talked about building habitats, but another thing that you can build is using these building kits, which you'll
10:45get through the Pokemon Center PC, which we'll show here in a little bit.
10:49But I'm going to place this building kit here.
10:52And so to build these building kits, you'll interact with this box that's right here in front, but you'll also
11:00need the help of certain Pokemon in order to build it.
11:03What's important, though, about why Timber is being called out is because they have a specialty called build, and that
11:11is important in order to actually interact and complete these building projects.
11:15So when you interact with that box in front, the building kit will tell you what material you need and
11:23also what Pokemon you need.
11:24Okay, so it shows we need three, and underneath that it shows how many I have in my inventory, and
11:31I happen to have everything.
11:32So I can either put each one individually, put the full stack, or press plus to just put everything in
11:39at once.
11:41And then I need specifically Timber and Charmander to help build this.
11:47So let's go talk to them.
11:49Okay, so Charmander is right here.
11:50Sorry, Bulbasaur.
11:51I know you want to greet me, but got to focus.
11:55You're going to have to wait.
11:56So when you talk to a Pokemon, there's this option called follow me, which will have the Pokemon follow you
12:04for an activity.
12:05So you want to go on an adventure with them, or you want them to do something specific for you.
12:09So come back to Scyther here in a second.
12:14And then we need Timber.
12:17So another way that you can have Pokemon follow you is that if you press up on the plus control
12:23pad, I'm playing here with the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller.
12:28Diddle will do this emote, and that will have the Pokemon follow you.
12:33So right now I have two, but you can have up to five Pokemon max follow you at any point
12:40in time.
12:41So pressing up like Teresa said is really handy, so you can just walk up to multiple Pokemon and use
12:46that ability to call everyone to you.
12:49That's right.
12:50All right, so we're going to start building this leaf den.
12:53And it does also use real time clock.
12:58So in about 15 minutes, this building will be built.
13:01Not all buildings will take that amount of time.
13:04So just to be aware of that.
13:07But yeah.
13:08You clear that out.
13:09There we go.
13:09Now we have this pass, so we don't have to go around.
13:12But I do want to talk to Scyther here.
13:16Please, sir.
13:19Oh, man.
13:23So it'll be worth, trust me.
13:26Okay, here we go.
13:28So with the small logs that we just picked up, we can give these to Scyther.
13:33And Scyther has a specialty.
13:36Besides the cut ability that we've learned from Scyther, we're able to also give them the log in order to
13:44create lumber.
13:44And lumber is another great material for you to use in terms of crafting.
13:49So we'll definitely want to pick that up here in a second because we want to show how to create
13:55certain things.
13:58And for insurance stuff like that.
13:59Yeah.
14:00But before we do, I want to go here because Lindsay had mentioned about not just natural environments for habitats,
14:07but there's also habitats that you can create with things that you've crafted.
14:11So you can find habitats through discovery as you progress through the story, but there will also be these little
14:19shiny environments in the world.
14:21And as you inspect them, these Pokemon traces, you'll automatically log information regarding the Pokemon that might have a chance
14:30to appear there as well as the habitat that is needed in order to get them to appear there.
14:35So I'm not able to create a punching bag, but I happen to have one right here.
14:42So even though it's here in the environment, I can always pick it up and relocate it.
14:47So things don't necessarily need to be where they're at.
14:50You can choose to decorate anything or decorate things to the way that you like.
14:56Yeah, you can customize this world just the way you want it.
15:00For instance, I would be watering all of this dry ground, making it look a lot nicer.
15:06All right.
15:07We got that set up. Perfect.
15:10And while we're here, I do want to go through a couple of other menus that you'll regularly interact as
15:17you're playing.
15:18So by pressing the plus button, you'll see your Pokedex.
15:21So as I'd mentioned, as you interact or befriend or scan information about Pokemon, they'll show up here.
15:29So Hitmonchan, we have that information stored because we scanned that Pokemon trace or inspected it.
15:36But they're grayed out because we haven't befriended them yet.
15:40Squirtle is colored in because they're in the world. We befriended them.
15:45So actually, let's go back to Scyther again, because we were talking about their specialty here, chop.
15:52So chop again, because as we give them small logs, they're able to transform it into or cut them into
16:00lumber, which is another material you can use for crafting.
16:03And every Pokemon will have different specialties. So it's really important for you to befriend more Pokemon to really leverage
16:10and collaborate with them to build and to do different things in the world.
16:17You also have a Habitat Dex. So more things to collect.
16:21This comes in handy if you're like me and you don't have the best memory, but you keep discovering new
16:25habitats.
16:27And sometimes these also include, you know, the Pokemon that are in the habitats or ones that you might have
16:32discovered the traces of.
16:33And they'll tell you kind of how to make it as well, which is great.
16:36Yeah. So just again, here as an example, you open up the Habitat Dex, you can see the items and
16:41the number of items you need in order to create that.
16:43So really, really helpful, especially if you're wanting to recreate that habitat in, say, another area.
16:51And then here, this is where the Pokemon requests will get logged.
16:55So as you start getting even more, you can always check back here to see, you know, what you need
17:01to accomplish because maybe there's a lot to do.
17:04There certainly is a lot to do.
17:06Yes.
17:07And then here's the Pokemon Center, which some people may recognize.
17:11It's looking a little bit rough right now.
17:14But there is this PC.
17:17And so in the PC, there is a bunch of different menus that you'll see.
17:21There's challenges, which are everyday tasks that you'll do as you play.
17:25There's a shop.
17:27Link play, which is tied to multiplayer.
17:29But I want to talk about the environment level.
17:31So by pressing the minus button, you're able to see the environment level and the comfort level of each Pokemon.
17:39So as you improve the environment, that bar will increase.
17:44But you also see here that Scyther is iffy.
17:50That's their comfort level.
17:52But Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Timber are average.
17:55And Charmander is nice.
17:55And Charmander is doing great.
17:57Nice.
17:58I have no home, but that's okay.
18:00I want to prioritize my friends.
18:01Friends first.
18:02Someday.
18:02Someday.
18:03I'll come back to me later.
18:06So we can go talk to Scyther and then see how we can improve their comfort level.
18:13And so there's different ways that you can do it.
18:16You can go talk to them.
18:19I was going to say, I think you had some lumber waiting.
18:21Yes.
18:22We had to complete that Pokemon request first.
18:25But as Scyther mentioned, you could use the lumber to create other things.
18:31We're going to talk to them again.
18:33And you're going to see this option.
18:35How's your comfort level?
18:37So they'll tell you, oh, I want something.
18:39So in this particular instance, they want a decoration to put in their habitat to improve their comfort level.
18:49Unfortunately, there isn't anything that I can craft right now that's a decoration.
18:53So maybe we'll have to come back to it later.
18:57Those flowers are shaking back there.
18:59Can we check that out?
19:00Let's find out.
19:03Who could it be?
19:07Oh, Pidgey.
19:08Oh, right.
19:08My buddy.
19:12Hey.
19:16Almost thought you were a human.
19:19Pidgey's so cute.
19:22All right.
19:24Now Pidgey has a pretty interesting ability too, if I recall.
19:28They do.
19:29They have an interesting specialty, which I want to show later.
19:32We'll get back to it.
19:32Just because we don't quite have the item in order to showcase it just yet.
19:38But let's see.
19:39What else can we do in the meantime?
19:41We've crafted.
19:42We've shown.
19:44Oh, yeah.
19:44Well, we've crafted, but we haven't really made a whole lot with crafting.
19:47Actually, it's a good part.
19:48We haven't made any furniture, have we?
19:49Oh, yeah.
19:49We should make some of that.
19:50It's true.
19:50We just got all that lumber.
19:51We should use it.
19:52All right.
19:53Oh, we got a lot.
19:54Yeah.
19:55Lily, do you want to talk about the storage box?
19:57Absolutely.
19:57So this is actually one of my favorite items because I like to collect all the things.
20:01If you make a storage box and you put it directly next to that crafting table, the crafting table will
20:07actually pull directly from that inventory rather than from yours.
20:10So if, for example, you decide to put a log or two in there or whichever you'd like, then instead
20:17of pulling from Ditto's stomach, you can actually craft using that storage box itself.
20:21So a little pro tip for you all.
20:23Very handy.
20:24Yeah, for sure.
20:25Like if you have way too much stuff in your inventory, you can pop it in that storage box and
20:29stop worrying about it.
20:30It's the story of my life.
20:34And as you go adventuring around, you will get a lot of stuff to collect and your inventory will be
20:40full at times.
20:40So it's really, really beneficial to create multiple storage boxes.
20:46And as you can see at the top right, we just completed a challenge.
20:51All right.
20:51Oh.
20:52Yay.
20:52New friend.
20:53Not a Hitmochan.
20:55They're working out really hard.
20:58I respect it.
21:01All right.
21:05Joining them for some training.
21:07That looks like you guys are hitting it off.
21:10Oh, boy.
21:11The puns.
21:14All right.
21:15So I probably mentioned it, but if you see a Pokemon that has a bubble on top of them, just
21:20prioritize it.
21:21Because again, it might be something that you need that you don't have just yet.
21:27So here, they want stones.
21:30Oh, that's right.
21:31I dropped the stones in the...
21:32Oh, you did.
21:34There's some right in the environment.
21:35I can fix this, guys.
21:37Hold on.
21:37There's two right there.
21:40I found them.
21:43I was like, I thought you had to.
21:45Hold on.
21:46We had line.
21:47It's okay.
21:50I big brained it and it failed me.
21:53There's no failure here.
21:55You still managed it.
21:56You got this.
21:57You got this.
21:57We persevere.
22:01Okay.
22:02So here we're gonna go.
22:03Use transform.
22:06What is one of my favorite moves?
22:09Rock smash.
22:11Rock smash is a fun one.
22:14All of Ditto's abilities are great.
22:16They really are.
22:18And we actually mentioned shaping your environment.
22:20I don't know about you guys.
22:21I'm not a big fan of, you know, the environment sticking out into the walkway there.
22:24So you can actually use rock smash to shape it to your desire.
22:29And as you can see, the terrain there is just kind of sitting there.
22:32It doesn't really get destroyed per se.
22:34So you can actually use that later if you decide to, you know, build your way up a cliff
22:38or just go and make your own sort of environment area.
22:41You can even build a house out of it.
22:43You can actually, yes.
22:45Yes.
22:46And it's pretty great because it just feels very satisfying and rewarding that you're not losing anything.
22:51You're just being able to repurpose that material.
22:55Repurpose, reshape.
22:56Relocate.
22:56Relocate.
22:57Relocate.
23:01And one thing you just saw there a moment ago was, and right now,
23:05is Serious is actually aiming up and down while using rock smash.
23:08So you can not just do it using forward.
23:10You can aim and go in different directions, which is really, really great.
23:14Yeah.
23:15So by aiming, I'm using the right control stick, which adjusts the camera.
23:19And that's how I'm able to be able to break those certain blocks.
23:26Sometimes you want to aim up just a little bit to get to those higher.
23:29Oh, I got ahead.
23:30I already smashed it.
23:32What rock?
23:36By looking up and looking down.
23:38Well, we already did that, but it's all good.
23:40It's nice to have that reminder though.
23:42Yeah.
23:45They called you on it.
23:47I love it.
23:51Eager little ditto, huh?
23:53I mean, wouldn't you use rock smash that way too?
23:55Oh, that's true.
23:57All right.
23:59You completed the request.
24:00You'd just see me punching a mountain all day.
24:04All right.
24:05I think we're almost done building that.
24:07We are, but I think, so we were talking about Pidgey.
24:11So why don't we go ahead and try to look for that item that really want to show.
24:20And there's that terrain you used earlier.
24:22Yep.
24:24It fits perfectly in there.
24:26Smash, smash, smash.
24:30Ditto smash.
24:32One thing that you want to be careful about too is when you're using rock smash, you'll notice it does
24:39drain your power points or PP pretty quickly.
24:42Are you just going to leave that one floating up?
24:44Okay.
24:45Fine.
24:47I can't help myself.
24:49All right.
24:50Oh.
24:53Should have probably talked to him on Chan here first.
24:57It's okay.
25:00Sorry.
25:01I got ahead of myself.
25:01I got ahead of myself.
25:03Nothing wrong with that.
25:04It's rock smash.
25:05It's hard not to get ahead of yourself.
25:06But as we kind of talked about, we can repurpose the material in order for us to get to a
25:13point, even if we can't get there before.
25:16So we're going to grab this item here specifically.
25:20It is a dowsing machine.
25:22And the dowsing machine plays off really greatly with the specialty search.
25:29Which we're going to go talk to Pidgey in order to highlight.
25:32But first, definitely want to finish this Pokémon request.
25:36Got to say it, him on Chan's curiosity.
25:39Sure did.
25:45All right.
25:46You saw that little heart and arrow, so that's another kind of icon to showcase that the comfort level of
25:53a Pokémon has increased.
25:54So just quickly, I want to go back here to the Pokémon Center PC to show that as we were
26:01interacting with the Pokémon, their comfort level was going up.
26:06Good stuff.
26:08All right.
26:09Back to Pidgey.
26:11Pidgey.
26:12Pidgey.
26:13Where are they?
26:18Hi.
26:19Oh, they're sleeping.
26:20I'm going to have to interrupt that nap.
26:22All right.
26:23So I'm going to have Pidgey follow me first.
26:26And then I'm going to equip the dowsing machine through the menu.
26:33And then I'm going to press the A button.
26:36So this now allows the Pokémon...
26:39Oh, they're going up there.
26:40Oh, that's really hot.
26:41Bye, Pidgey.
26:42Let's try a different area.
26:44Let's see.
26:45Maybe over here.
26:49No, they're really wanting to go up there.
26:51Oh, that's okay.
26:52At least we know it's up in that direction.
26:54Yeah.
26:54So as you can see...
26:56Is that rock sweating?
26:59It is.
27:01It is.
27:01Okay.
27:02So as Dee mentioned, Pidgey is kind of showing that we need to go in the direction of where
27:10they're pointing at in order to go to specifically something that's been hidden within the terrain.
27:17And it looks like they're trying to say it's a little high.
27:20Yeah.
27:20So it's a little bit higher.
27:22I don't want to go too far.
27:24Just because I don't want to ruin the surprise for everybody at home to kind of see what they're
27:29looking for.
27:30But I will say that this is a great...
27:32There are a lot of collectibles in this game.
27:35And you might have seen that I was dodging quite a few of them in the environment because,
27:40again, I don't want to ruin the surprise, but it's for you to uncover as you're playing.
27:45Yeah, it's really fun.
27:46But this is a great way for you to quickly or to find more collectibles in an easy way.
27:52So you really want to leverage the search ability or specialty alongside the dousing machine
27:59in order to find those a little bit quicker.
28:01It's also nice to spend a little bit of quality time with different Pokémon.
28:04That is true.
28:05Absolutely.
28:05But since we just got a notification that the leaf den is done, I'm going to...
28:10Part ways with Pidgey.
28:12So I pressed and held up on the plus control pad to get that done.
28:17We're going to go talk to Timber here.
28:22All right.
28:24Ta-da!
28:29Looks great.
28:32So you built a leaf den.
28:34Let's go take a look inside.
28:36Yeah.
28:37First got to wrap it up.
28:38Just going to complete this Pokémon request really quickly.
28:41But Timber is essentially saying that in order for a home to be...
28:44or a building to be complete, you need to put furniture in it.
28:47At the very least, three items.
28:49So we're just going to go inside.
28:51You know what?
28:51Since Charmander is here, just take them with me.
28:54Let's go inspect it.
28:55Yeah.
28:58It looks fantastic.
28:59So it's pretty small.
29:01Nice and a homey.
29:02It's pretty small.
29:03But we're going to go ahead and decorate it with the items that we crafted just earlier.
29:08So we're going to put that table, that chair, put this bed here.
29:14And...
29:14Completed it.
29:15Boom.
29:16But I am also going to add this campfire.
29:18And don't worry about everything being, you know, built with leaves and sticks.
29:24I want to show Charmander's burn specialty.
29:28So whenever they're following you and they're near an item that might be burnable, they're able to light it.
29:35So, for example, this campfire.
29:38And even though you've encountered or befriended this Pokémon through their natural habitat, or the habitat that they preferred, you
29:46can always relocate them into a different area.
29:48So, for example, by talking to Charmander here, you have this option here that says want to move in.
29:56You sure can.
29:57And so now this is Charmander's new home.
30:02Yeah.
30:02Great.
30:03And if we go back into the Pokedex too, you can kind of see here, ideal habitat warm.
30:11So, say that outside you can get a little bit drafty, maybe sometimes wet because of the rain.
30:18So maybe you do want to put certain Pokémon like Charmander into a home where they can be protected and
30:24a little bit cozier.
30:25So...
30:26No!
30:27He's very cozy.
30:28Look at that.
30:29There's a bed right there, Charmander.
30:31All right.
30:32Hey, you don't choose where you want to take a nap, okay?
30:35It's been a long day for Charmander.
30:35That's true.
30:36Let them be who they want to be.
30:38Let them sleep where they want to sleep.
30:39Love it.
30:40Who among us hasn't fallen asleep on the couch instead of going to bed?
30:43Oh, and they're outside here.
30:45Okay.
30:46I think we woke them up from laughing too.
30:48It's because...
30:49I forgot to dismiss them.
30:51Oh, that's right.
30:52That's okay.
30:53I'm sure they appreciate that house, especially if it starts to rain.
30:58Okay.
30:59All right.
31:00I think that about covers for the single player experience.
31:06But we're going to set up now for the other part, which is the multiplayer mode of the game.
31:12Really excited to show a little bit of that because it is one of the multiplayer modes in the game.
31:18So we're just going to set it up and we'll be right back.
31:21Hi, everyone.
31:22Welcome back.
31:23We just finished setting it up, so hopefully it was really quick on your side.
31:27But yeah, let's jump right into it.
31:30All right.
31:30So this is one of the multiplayer modes that you'll be able to interact in the full game.
31:35This is Pallet Town.
31:37So what you're about to see has been built specifically, especially for this segment.
31:43So you'll start seeing things that might not be in your specific town.
31:49But also certain things that have been set here are not going to be indicative of what the full game
31:57is going to be experienced.
31:58But we just wanted to give a shout out on that just because of what you're we're going to start
32:04showing here.
32:05So anyway, we got from starting from the left, Kevin, myself, Demetrius and Lindsay.
32:16All right.
32:17And this is Pallet Town, which up to four players can play local wireless or online.
32:22We're playing in local wireless today, but also up to two players can play in game share.
32:29So even though this is a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive game, only the Nintendo Switch 2 system can do the
32:35game share feature.
32:36But the Nintendo Switch 2 system can share with either a Nintendo Switch 2 system or a Nintendo Switch system.
32:45So those players can kind of give a try to see what the game is all about.
32:51And it's specifically for this area.
32:54So this is my Pallet Town.
32:57And so it's a little bit populated right now.
33:00So we're going to kind of go off in our different directions.
33:03If you guys want to start creating some habitats with your abilities or moves, I'm going to access this.
33:10So any item that has a mirror will allow you to change the appearance.
33:14So we talked about it in the single player portion of the segment that when you first start the game,
33:19you'll be able to customize.
33:20So this is kind of very similar to that menu.
33:23So you can see, you could change a hairstyle.
33:26You could change the color of your hair.
33:28I'm going to go with blue.
33:30I'm going to keep the outfit.
33:32I'm going to change my top to pink.
33:35Pants.
33:35I'm going to close the jeans.
33:37I'm going to go with the pink hat.
33:40Maybe a black back.
33:43Pretty blue.
33:44Pretty blue.
33:45Yeah, that's cute.
33:46And some bright blue shoes.
33:48That looks good.
33:49I like that.
33:52I will transform.
33:55And there we go.
33:57That's great.
33:59So here's a workbench.
34:00I'm actually going to grab it quickly and relocate it.
34:04Maybe I might need it for later.
34:07I'm also going to start cutting some grass here.
34:13Maybe get some material that we don't have right now.
34:17And as we talked about before, in order to get, say, certain material, you can also use Ditto's abilities, not
34:26just for creating habitats.
34:36So we haven't, hadn't encountered this specific habitat before, so that's why we're seeing it again in this mode.
34:45I'm just going to go ahead and cut so I can get some more leaves.
34:52Might be helpful.
34:53Oh!
34:53There's something shaking over here.
34:56We'll go ahead and inspect it.
34:57All right.
34:59T, should I go ahead and start putting some materials in the Pokemon Center for you?
35:03Yeah, let me go over there really quickly just to kind of highlight that Pokemon Center.
35:09So in this pallet town, again, this is on my system.
35:13So I've invited the other players to come and build on my town.
35:18Carrie expressed it, expressing it's my town.
35:22So anything that they build is going to be on my system.
35:25You're welcome.
35:26But if they're wanting, if I'm wanting to build the other players' towns, I have to go over to their
35:32town, which will look completely different from mine.
35:36So you'll see that the Pokemon Center has a little kind of building kit area to interact with.
35:43And as you can see that it takes a certain amount of material.
35:47Again, this is not indicative of what the final game will look like.
35:51It's just especially for this segment because we want to show how it transforms and what the Pokemon Center looks
35:58like when it's built.
35:59So I happen to have all the material, but I'm missing a Pokemon that has the build specialty.
36:07And we need Scyther as well.
36:09So let's see if we can...
36:10Scyther's right by me.
36:11Yeah.
36:13Let's see.
36:13I'm going to finish building this habitat here because I know from the previous single player game,
36:22Timber was able to appear in this kind of habitat.
36:26So we're going to try forward again and see...
36:29Be hopeful that they appear.
36:32And again, because this is my save file or save data, I have to interact with the Pokemon in order
36:38for the other players to be able to collaborate together with them too.
36:47That's okay. We can do some teamwork.
36:48Yeah.
36:49Yeah.
36:50It's a good team effort.
36:52You guys are creating all these habitats and I'm like, I have to inspect and talk to everybody.
36:56Look at all these friends.
36:58They're popular.
36:59We can't help it.
37:00It's fun.
37:02Ooh.
37:03George.
37:03Did we create over here?
37:04All right.
37:05Here's Magby.
37:09All right.
37:10Interact with maybe one more.
37:18Charmander.
37:19A Charmander.
37:21Oh, good.
37:22You may need them for later.
37:23Yeah.
37:26Here.
37:28Here.
37:30Here.
37:32All right.
37:33All right.
37:34Let's see if maybe that rock, uh, shaded rock.
37:39There he is.
37:39Yeah.
37:39I built that.
37:40What is this?
37:42Come on.
37:45Pokemon with build specialty.
37:47Come on.
37:47Woo.
37:49Machop.
37:56Actually, uh, I think there's a Makuhita here.
37:59Perfect.
37:59Oh, there we go.
38:00Machop also has the build specialty.
38:02So I'm going to have them follow me.
38:05Put those muscles to work.
38:06Yeah.
38:07And hopefully Scyther.
38:10I know you're having a conversation with Charmander right now, but really need you, buddy.
38:16Let's go here.
38:18And there we go.
38:19So, uh, since they're all been highlighted, I'm going to go ahead and have them start rebuilding
38:24the Pokemon Center.
38:28All right.
38:29So, um, as you can see, it's going to be very relatively quickly for this, uh, Pokemon Center
38:35to be rebuilt.
38:36Again, it's not indicative of what is going to be in the full game, but we really want
38:40to showcase what it will look like once it's completed, because it is really cool.
38:45Hey, I was creating a habitat with that.
38:47There's actually one over here, too, though.
38:48Oh, is there?
38:48Okay.
38:49All right.
38:50We'll be right back, um, to check that out.
38:53Um, but I do want to show some other moves that Ditto can do that we weren't able to do
38:58or show in the single player gameplay.
39:00So here's rototiller.
39:03Um, with rototiller, you're able to till the soil.
39:06That's really perfect for growing crops.
39:09Uh, another really cool ability that rototiller can do is, um, if you highlight a plant or even
39:15a flower or a vegetable, you're able to relocate something that maybe you planted it in an area
39:22that you didn't quite want to, or maybe you wanted to relocate that flower to, I don't know,
39:27uh, maybe, maybe decorate it somewhere else, or maybe even to create a flower habitat like this one.
39:35So, really cool feature, uh, with the rototiller.
39:41Um...
39:42There's so many Pokémon now.
39:44There are.
39:45And so many friends.
39:47All right, so the Pokémon Center is rebuilt.
39:50It's done.
39:51We're gonna go talk to Machop to complete it.
39:57And I think you said this, but, uh, that is much faster than it normally is in the game, so...
40:01Yes.
40:03Look at that.
40:05Good as new.
40:07Yes!
40:10Um...
40:11Uh, you can go inside, uh, but, you know, just for the sake of surprise, um, for when the game
40:17comes out,
40:17we're gonna leave that for you to uncover when the game comes out.
40:22Uh, so...
40:23I'm gonna go over here and...
40:26Oh!
40:28Look!
40:29This area looks like it could be rebuilt.
40:31What do you guys think?
40:32Absolutely.
40:33Yeah, let's do it.
40:34All right, let's set a challenge here.
40:36In about ten minutes, let's see what we can do with this space.
40:40I'm gonna put the workbench here.
40:41Oh, thank you.
40:41For you guys to kind of start, um, kind of working through.
40:45I'll go out and see if I can find some items that we can use to decorate it.
40:49Uh, so I'll be right back.
40:51Uh, in the meantime, I wanna showcase some other abilities that Ditto has.
40:55Um, so, they're not in the wheel, uh, or in the, uh, move wheel here.
41:02But, Ditto can transform into a Lapras when in water and be able to navigate across large bodies of water.
41:12Uh, really, really handy, uh, for when you're wanting to get from point A to point B.
41:17Uh, this is an ability that you'll be able to get as you play through the game.
41:21Um, so you can kind of see this area here that's been, uh, especially built for the segment.
41:28Um, so we had talked about building through building kits, but you're also able to build block by block and
41:33really develop the area how you really want it to look like.
41:37Um, and so, as long as the building has four walls and is, like, at least two blocks in height,
41:43that is considered a building.
41:44But you can get pretty, pretty tall buildings if you want to.
41:49Um, and you can see also that there is these lampposts and also these, um, these electricity poles.
41:55So there is electricity in the, in the game and, um, it's all being generated by those windmills.
42:01So there's some really interesting things that you can do to light up your area because there might be some
42:06items that will, will require electricity.
42:09Um, so you can kind of see here different things that you can do with your world.
42:13Like, there's that, um, upward staircase and this little garden.
42:18Um, and here's some, two, uh, houses here that are, uh, from, built from building kits.
42:26So we're going to go into this one and see how you can decorate the inside to really however you
42:32want.
42:33So you can see here there's some really cute Pokemon plush toys, um, and also some really comfortable looking themed,
42:40um, items.
42:42I want that Dragonite stuffy in real life.
42:44Seriously. Yeah.
42:45It's huge.
42:45So cute.
42:46And as I mentioned with the electricity, you could turn on and off lamps.
42:51Um, there might be some other things that run through electricity.
42:53So really fun items for you to discover.
42:58And, uh, who knows, maybe you'll be able to craft them too in the, in the full game.
43:02Um, and also I, I really liked the stage.
43:05You can also rock out, make, maybe build a concert with, uh, with your friends.
43:11Um, like emo, thank you for coming.
43:14Um, and speaking of emotes, so I, um, can interact with the emote, uh, wheel here by pressing down on
43:21the plus control pad.
43:23Uh, but in addition, if I press the plus button and I press, you can see all the different emotes,
43:28uh, but there's also preset messages that you can use in order to communicate with friends.
43:32Um, but if you have a Nintendo Switch online account and you have, uh, game chat, you're also able to
43:39communicate with your friends as you're playing as well.
43:41So definitely a lot of different ways for you to communicate with people, um, in order to, you know, really
43:47get the most out of interacting and communicating and, uh, really building a community not only just inside the game
43:55with the, with the, um, with the Pokemon, but also with your friends.
44:00Alright, we're gonna go back to the other area, but before I do, I kinda wanna see if I can
44:06get up to a really high point.
44:09Oh yeah, I said I was going to grab stuff for us to decorate before I forget.
44:14Let me grab the side table, the beach chair.
44:19We've got a ladder going up the side rather than, uh, the stairs.
44:22Okay, I'm creating more crappy scene furniture.
44:25Copy.
44:26I don't wanna completely remove everything.
44:31Taking the campfire, sorry.
44:36Please make some lumber for me.
44:42Alright.
44:44We get to a really, really high point here.
44:51Ah, there you go.
44:52And show one more move that Ditto uses.
44:55So, um, we showed the Lapras one.
44:58Uh, Ditto's also able to traverse as-
45:02By transforming into Dragonite.
45:04Um, and it's a really great way for you to glide from point A to point B.
45:09Um, both the Lapras move and the dra-
45:11Um, the Dragonite moves will use power points.
45:14So you can see the blue bar.
45:15It's slowly depleting as I use it.
45:18So, same way as the other Ditto moves, you will need to eat food in order to replenish those power
45:23points.
45:23Um, so really, use them wisely.
45:26Um, okay.
45:28Seems like everybody's been doing some really great progress here.
45:31Is there anything I can help contribute?
45:33Because you can probably use some more furniture up.
45:35I'm crazy.
45:36Alright.
45:37I'm going to put this table here.
45:39I wasn't completely lazy, I promise.
45:41I, like, got some stuff.
45:43We weren't going to call you out.
45:44You know, it's very common sense, man.
45:46You're, you're always looking out for new, uh, new stuff we can find.
45:48Look!
45:48Look what I built!
45:50Our rod, I mean.
45:52Here, I'm going to build four stool or lock chairs for us so we can sit around the campfire.
45:59Oh, that's a great idea.
46:01Or, excuse me, it's a bonfire, because it is much bigger than a campfire.
46:06And one here.
46:07We can grab a torch too.
46:08One here.
46:09Yeah, set to an outside.
46:12One there.
46:12That's fair.
46:13One there.
46:14I'm going to try to find, uh, maybe Magby?
46:18I think there's a Charmander as well, right?
46:20Charmander.
46:20Oh, I got him right now.
46:21Oh, you got it?
46:21Okay.
46:22I won't, I won't take that away from you.
46:24There, they're on their way.
46:27Okay.
46:28How are we on time, I wonder?
46:32Let's see.
46:33Oh, Charmander?
46:33Okay, you can bite that.
46:34That's fine.
46:35Okay.
46:35But life is too.
46:35We've got five minutes.
46:37Okay.
46:38Ah!
46:39Alright, and this one.
46:40Let's see.
46:41Alright, perfect!
46:43Would it be...
46:44How do you guys feel about a sunroof?
46:46Yeah, I like it.
46:48Oh!
46:48Get some natural light in there.
46:49Actually, sunroof is perfect.
46:51Great.
46:51How do I get up there?
46:52So I can put, uh, on the left hand as your, uh...
46:55Look at you guys.
46:56We got you.
46:57We got you.
46:58Thinking with your noggins, building a ladder.
47:00Teamwork.
47:01There's also a habitat inside the bed with a plush, so...
47:06Alright.
47:07Here's a, uh, a beach chair with a parasol.
47:10Nice.
47:11Take some rest.
47:12Well-earned rest.
47:13Well, uh, did some work here.
47:17Mhm.
47:18Alright, Lindsay caught me.
47:20Snoozing on the jet.
47:20Oh, so did Kevin.
47:21Alright, I don't want to go away.
47:23Oh, I was going to join you.
47:25Is there only room for one?
47:26Nope.
47:27We got two right there.
47:28Where was the beach chair, right?
47:30Ooh!
47:31Actually...
47:31You know, I was working hard.
47:32I'm going to take a little nap.
47:33I want to do...
47:34I want to see if I can do this.
47:36Let's find out.
47:39There's a loader.
47:42I'm going to set up a little table right here.
47:47Let's see.
47:49Whoops.
47:51Whoa!
47:52Right there.
47:53Oh yeah, perfect.
47:54Yes, we do have hatch windows.
47:56Perfect.
47:57We might not be able to build this quickly.
48:00And we made a habitat.
48:00We're on a time crunch here and I'm like, can I do it?
48:04We got a habitat.
48:05We can totally do it.
48:05A habitat follow up.
48:07This is great.
48:08You have a habitat?
48:10It's a habitat.
48:11There you go.
48:12Yeah.
48:12Oh, the water isn't able to flow far enough.
48:15Alright.
48:16Have to find another way.
48:20You got to go with the flow.
48:23I see what you did.
48:24Oh, you know what?
48:25I'll just build a little staircase for us to go to the beach.
48:30From here.
48:32That'll work.
48:34Let's see.
48:35What else do I have in my inventory?
48:36Ooh!
48:37Nah, I can't do that.
48:39Or maybe.
48:40Why not?
48:41Since this is our little house that we're building, I'm just going to go ahead and...
48:51Okay.
48:52Does anybody need some lumber?
48:53I have a bunch.
48:55Um, here.
48:55I'm just going to put down a storage box.
48:57Oh, yeah.
48:58Great idea.
48:59Plant some beans.
49:01It's right next to the crafting table.
49:07Okay.
49:07Making my way.
49:10How's this looking?
49:11This looks really nice.
49:12Hey, Dee.
49:13We're doing great.
49:14Would you be able to bring, or somebody be able to bring Squirtle?
49:17Yeah.
49:18I'm on it.
49:19You got it?
49:20I can transform into Squirtle.
49:21Sorry.
49:23Is a Bellsprout or Bulbasaur around?
49:26There is a Bellsprout.
49:27There should be Bellsprout around.
49:28Yep.
49:28I'm looking right at them.
49:30You got him?
49:31Yep.
49:31I just gotta go talk to him.
49:33Hi, Bellsprout.
49:36I'm right next to Squirtle.
49:37I'll grab him.
49:38I'm good.
49:39I didn't need Squirtle.
49:40I'm good.
49:41I wanted specifically Bellsprout.
49:43Okay.
49:43I want to really quickly show this because it's really, really cool.
49:47Actually, I think you might need to...
49:49I had to talk to them?
49:50Yeah, they want to meet you first.
49:51Alright, let me grab them.
49:52There you go.
49:53Thank you.
49:54Thank you for spotting them.
49:55Yep.
49:59Okay.
49:59So Bellsprout has a specialty, which is Grow.
50:04And I'm going to have them follow me because with the vegetable patch that I just grew on the back,
50:11yard, it will take some time for it to grow because, you know, things need light and water and nutrients.
50:19But with Bellsprout's help, I'll be able to use their specialty to make this go just a little bit faster.
50:27So you can see now the beans that I just planted here are sprouting, which means that I'll be able
50:34to...
50:37I'm finding so many Pokemon choices.
50:40I'll be able to use the fruits of Bellsprout's labor in the very near future.
50:48Thanks, Bellsprout.
50:49Okay, guys.
50:51Let's see.
50:52Do you think we're done?
50:53Yeah, this is looking good.
50:54You're doing pretty good.
50:56I have one more final touch.
50:57Do it.
50:58You got one minute, sir.
51:00I'm going as fast as I can.
51:01I believe.
51:02Do you need any help?
51:03No, I think I got it.
51:04Okay.
51:05Although I might need help from Charmander.
51:08Where did they go?
51:08I've got him right here.
51:08We're going to find Charmander.
51:10He's right here.
51:10I've got him.
51:11Oh, okay.
51:11You got it.
51:11I'm going to do one more thing.
51:13Where are you at?
51:14Oh, can they come up this ladder to light the switches up top?
51:19Probably not the ladder, but we can...
51:20Okay.
51:21Nevermind, nevermind.
51:22I've got some terrain.
51:23I'll just put it down further.
51:24Okay.
51:26I'm so hungry.
51:29Seriously.
51:31In real life and in the game.
51:34That makes two of us.
51:36Or three of us.
51:37All right.
51:37I think we need to call it, guys.
51:39What do you think?
51:40I think it looks great.
51:41All right.
51:41I'm just going to put one more thing, which is a little thingy of flowers.
51:45I've got Charmander up here.
51:46That's a nice touch.
51:46Do you want to light the torches?
51:49Okay.
51:49Go for it.
51:51I see them.
51:51Oh, it worked.
51:52There you go.
51:53I think you need to put one more.
51:54Oh, there they go.
51:55They've got them.
51:56Oh, they're hard at work.
51:56They're just going to look at it.
51:59Come on, Charmander.
52:00Come on, I believe.
52:01Yeah.
52:02One more.
52:04They're so happy.
52:05I believe.
52:06I believe.
52:08Yeah.
52:08Perfect.
52:09Good.
52:09Nice job, guys.
52:11All right.
52:12Here we go.
52:13Nice.
52:14Got the quartet.
52:15This is a good place to wrap up.
52:17So, one more final thing that we really want to show that you'll be able to do not only in
52:24multiplayer mode, we're just showing it because it's a great way to kind of highlight these wonderful
52:30game moments, but also in single player.
52:33You'll be able to use the Pokedex as a camera in order to snap some shots.
52:39I think Charmander wants it on the photo.
52:41Yeah.
52:41They really want to.
52:43But you can do landscape.
52:44You can also do selfies.
52:49Oh, selfie time?
52:50Charmander.
52:50Yeah.
52:51So, you can change your hands.
52:54You can also make a little facial.
53:01You could also, yeah, you could do emotes and little facial expressions.
53:06You could change your frames, your filters.
53:10I'm going to go with a vignette.
53:11Why not?
53:13All right.
53:14Nah, you know what?
53:15No, I want color.
53:16Yeah, that's a color.
53:17Pop.
53:17Yeah, there we go.
53:18All right.
53:19Look at the Charmander is really happy about being in the photo too.
53:23I'm going to change.
53:25Yeah, that's a good, that's a good little, let's see.
53:30Make sure everybody's in scene.
53:33Lindsay, do you mind moving?
53:35I mean, sure.
53:36For you.
53:37Whoa, watch it.
53:38Sorry.
53:38Excuse you.
53:39Uncalled for.
53:40Uncalled for.
53:41Sorry.
53:42Okay, here we go, guys.
53:43On three.
53:44Ah!
53:45I'm sorry.
53:46Charmander photo bombing still.
53:48All right.
53:49On three.
53:49One, two, three.
53:54Oh, no.
53:55Nah.
53:56That was a little right.
54:00Oh, for her.
54:01He really wants to be in the photo.
54:02He does.
54:03He does.
54:03He does.
54:06Who am I to refuse Charmander?
54:08Look at this.
54:09Who am I to refuse Charmander?
54:11Like, really.
54:11Little baby.
54:14It's so cute.
54:17It's amazing.
54:19Okay.
54:20All right, guys.
54:21Well, that about wraps it up.
54:23So, yeah.
54:24Just wanted to, again, re-highlight Pokemon Pocopia's one to four player game.
54:30It's a cozy life sim.
54:31It's coming out in a couple weeks.
54:33We're really excited to plan it.
54:35Yeah.
54:36There's so much to do.
54:37There's so much to collect.
54:39As you really rebuild this world with not only your real life friends, but your Pokemon friends as well.
54:44So, we hope you guys get to try it out.
54:48March 5th.
54:49March 5th.
54:50So, yeah.
54:51Thanks for watching and we'll see you again soon.
54:54Bye.
54:55See ya.
54:56Bye, guys.
