Foreign ministers from Brazil, France, Spain, Turkey and others have condemned Israel’s latest moves to expand control over the occupied West Bank, calling it a violation of international law and a move toward de facto annexation.

00:24Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, along with the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation also signed the statement.
00:33They also warned the decisions undermine efforts for peace and regional stability.
00:39On February 15, Israel's Cabinet approved measures to further consolidate control over the West Bank and ease land purchases for
00:47settlers, a move Palestinians described as de facto annexation.

01:00Over 700,000 Israeli settlers lived there and in East Jerusalem, alongside about 3 million Palestinians.
01:08The Israeli government has accelerated the expansion of settlements, approving a record 52 settlements in 2025.
